Didnt get to see any vision but his stats looked alright tonight, for those who saw the game some feedback would be great, cheers

Bling

Yeah, I know there's other threads about him, but it deserves a new one.
thought he was absolutely sensational this arvo.
Please Terry: play the run-on style of game you employed today at all costs. Even when we're getting belted.
Special mentions to Jack and Shane Edwards. Bring in Connors. Don't make these kids play through the magoos. They're ready now TW.

Re: Bling

All the young guns must stay in! Riewoldt, Edwards and White were all very good! Geez Whites strong in the hips and has some sought of acceleration! Best game of Tambo's career, really pleasing!- Archibald you missed a bloody good game!

Showed a bit of confidence in himself and took players on. One passage in particular he ran around a few players took a couple of bounces and had a shot. He missed after doing all the hard work, but it was a good sign.

Freo were very pedestrian today and missed plenty of targets, but we took it up to them from the first bounce.

I've been saying it for a while, he is a very, very good footballer. Picked him up in the dream team at the start of the season, this is his year.

He showed it all today. Winning the hard ball, blistering pace, evasion, disposal either side and lovely overhead. His best game for the club easily for mine and looking like more on the way, even better! Lids was great today too, all class, brilliant by hand and foot.

Spot on.:thumbsu:
It was great to see both Bling & Lids put the ball under their arm and go for a run with a few bounces
Both have great evasive skills
Today could create major change for both these guys with a win and both playing well
Belief is a huge thing!!!

I thought he was excellent today. His second efforts were great and finally defensively he looked good and tackled really well. His mark in the 4th quarter against two opponents and then kicking the goal was great just after Solomon verbally abused him brought a nice smile to my face. Lets hope he backs it up again next week.

Agree mate.

Best game Tambling played today.

Was brilliant.

This kind of game could be seen coming a mile away. He has been good all season- not necessarily in disposal but in confidence, speed and second efforts. Even last week, his disposal was poor but at least it was because he had the guts to try the audacious kicks, rather than having high efficiency but lots of little handballs.

Could easily develop into a 20 touch 2 goal midfielder I think

First time he has shown us what he can do. Looking forward to watching him become a star.

He had no opponent.

The only criticisms I've had of Tambling are
a) Work ethic
b) Accountability

It looks like his work ethic is on track which is great. But we really need to see how he does when his opponent is capable of getting the pill aswell.

yeah ive got to say sorry, i lost faith in the kid , I was there today and many of the freo fans were suggesting he was BOG, he certainly showed that he does indeed have the tools to be an elite player by games end he was playing like he was 10" tall. I really hope he kicks on from here..it was as Bruce would say, special...:p

I think Tambling is much more capable of being a 20 touch 2 goal midfielder judging on what he displayed today in the west. I was impressed with his run and carry and his confidence to take on players with his blistering speed and his clearance work was 1st rate.
GO BLING !!:thumbsu:

An exciting performance today! One very good game from what will probably be a long list of very good games! I thought he was terrific today. Richo was BOG IMO but Tambling was not too far behind him.
Wallace deserves a lot of credit for the game plan...he certainly gets a lot of blame when the on-field performance is disappointing. Today it was fantastic!
I'm not one of the Hawk supporters who has ever thought Tambling would not eventually be the real deal. I think Wallace put a huge pile of pressure on Tambling early on. I think the whole Buddy Franklin comparison has put a lot of pressure on Tambling from both the supporters and from himself. I think being under a bigger microsope than the players taken before him in the draft has put some pressure on him, as well. And I don't think he has that much injury free game time in his short career. For whatever reason, Richard has not responded as quickly as he might have. It was great to see him have the type of game today that everyone has expected from him for a long time.
I'm hopeful we will all see a lot more!

just come back from subi hotel tugg, gotta tell ya there's some talent in the wild west:eek:
Too bad they played for Fremantle today.;):p

Maybe the talented ones can come to Richmond, like Simmo and Polak...

What Wallace said made sense, I personally hadn't really considered it but this is Tambling's first year as an unprotected, full-on midfielder. Get him the experience there and the confidence in himself that he belongs there this year then put him on 'The Nathan Foley program for becoming an elite midfielder' during the preseason, he'll be muscled up and fitter than ever and destroy 2009. :)
