I'd trade a 3rd rounder in a heartbeat. Draft picks are hit and miss at the best of times, let alone a 3rd rounder in a weak draft compared to 2006 and 2008.

Maybe even Jericho for Meyer :p

Meyer for Knights and round 1 pick, fair deal.

I assume you meant to say:

Richmond - get Knights
Adelaide - get Meyer + Richmonds 1st round pick.

Not going to happen, but Knight's value > Meyer's. Where they were taken in the draft is now irrelevant.

lol you can have meyer if you want an arrogant, selfish player. He has no desire to play for his teams jumper, thats a shame because he's talented.

Some players just need a change of scenery.

Desire to play for the Jumper doesn't always come after one season.

Meyer got absolutely pansted playing for Coburg vs North Ballarat in the VFL on Saturday.

4 kicks IIRC - was all he got.

I think Meyer would be worth a flier. What we give up for him is what decides whether we go for a deal or not. A straight swap for Jericho would be ideal but can't really see it being done. I'm sure the Tigers would want draft picks seen as that is the direction they will have to go after having such a poor season. I may part with a second rounder but I would much rather a 3rd rounder. But if we could trade someone or something for another second round pick and use that I think it would be worth a try.

As has been discussed he was a very talented junior. Has failed to show much at Richmond but lets not all give up on him on that basis. If he was to turn it around would look like a fantastic trade, especially if we got him cheaply.

Certainly worth a crack I feel. Would be a better player amongst a stronger, more proffessional Adelaide outfit as well. Richard Tambling has also struggled at Richmond raising questions about where he was drafted. But both Meyer and Tambling have pretty light frames and playing in a physically stronger, more proffessional team helps a lot until the boys put on their own bulk. Can see Meyer helping Adelaide out.

You still owe us for the Carey trade.
How about Meeson and your 1st rnd pick>>>>>Meyer & Shultz:D
Why, when you got your current captain?

If anything the Kangaroos owe us, if there was such a thing.

Danny is out of contract at the years end but didnt want to discuss contracts until then. His manager Liam Pickering has already had quite a few AFL clubs make enquiries concerning next year.

Excellent post. :thumbsu:

Exactly. He would be in reasonably hot demand even though he's having a shocking third year. Hopefully the "go home" factor will work in our favour for once. ;)

dud, soft, lazy, and selfish charecter, I don't care if you're home sick, you still work hard if you wan't to make it at AFL level.
He hasn't, which doesn't speak too highly for him

So can we have him for free then?

In all seriousness, would a Meyer/Jericho trade be within the realms of possibility?

Wallace does like athletic midfield types...
