Tarrant to Eagles

I know it was reported in last Thursday's HS, but it's reported in today's Age that the Eagles are intersted in Tarrant. For mine, it would have to be:

Tarrant + Our 1st Rnd Pick for Kerr, or Tarrant for Beau Waters and their 1st Rnd Pick.

Even if they laugh in our face over the Kerr suggestion, you have to try. I'd be getting into Kerr's ear and seeing how he felt about the prospect of being the biggest star in the biggest club in Australia. He's been living in Cousins' and Judd's shadow for a while now. He'd win a brownlow over here.

But I think we'd be very interested in Tarrant.

For my mind this is what we'd offer

1st + 2nd picks

1st pick + a pick we get for Gardiner(thats better than our 2nd)

1st pick + Priddis

1st + Rosa(but this would be the absolute max)

I think it all comes down to if you really do want to trade him, or if your just giving him a scare like Fev 2005

I sincerely hope not. I don't rate Fletcher a 'quality fast onballer'. He's another turnover merchant. We already have too many of them.

Rosa looks VERY promising as a tall midfeilder with pace. His skills are neat too. probably need a bit of work but are better than licca and o'bree for sure.

your kidding me . Fletcher was very lucky to get a game on the weekend . He played ok but it was about time. He is slow , average kick and gets it easy because he is about the 7th ot 8th banana . The guy would hardly ever get tagged. He is not much better the lockyer IMO.

Fletcher playing for Collingwood would become our 1st or 2nd midfielder rather than the 4th or 5th he is currently at The Eagles. He'd get tagged and he would get shown up as the slow, poorly skilled player that he actually is.

Fletcher is a classic example of an average player made to look good by the quality he has around him.

To put it in eBay terms we are selling Tarrant not trying to buy a pick and a player from WCE. If noone matches our minimum bid, late 1st round pick and a good player that will improve our best 22 (I don't rate Rosa that much tbh) or two picks inside 15 or 20 stretching it, then we can keep Tarrant.

WCE don't have us by the balls here.
This is not a sandgroper player who has been told they can go home by WA based agents who practically work for WCE and Freo.

OR

1st round pick + Rosa

The rumour is that the first option is acceptable to both clubs.

I for one think Tarrant ain't all that bad. Sure hes been down the last few years but he as still contributed decently. I think he will slot quite well into the Eagles mainly because he won't be expected to be a focal point just a alternate avenue to goal/link man. 2 or 3 goals a game, for me, would be an acceptable return.

Embley on one HFF and Tarrant on the other...looks very dangerous to me.

Your kidding yourself! When Tarrant is on song, you dont have a fwd that can match it with him, the only problem is Taz isnt consistant enough! I would consider taking 1st round pick and Rosa for Tarrant
