I guessed the changes right, all the OMG corrie is the shitness calls seema bit overboard now

Who were the other two who flew up as emergencies I wonder? I know one was Corrie, just thinking if the other is Stanley and it is really wet tomorrow he might be a late change.

Why? Just because he isn't playing doesn't mean he still isn't shit.
No but the sooking about him being in the side before it got named

Everything pointed to him being 1st emergency for the fourth time straight (ask ben davies, sam iles and danny stanley what 1st emergency does for ya). It was a massive non issue for something so miniscule, our emergency lists at the best of times are pure rubbish

no one we sent up 22 and corrie

Really un impressive changes tbh, people coming in are about as equal to what left average.

Rocca will help our forward structure despite not really showing a lot at VFL, Barham a bit of an unknown.

Again form has been ignored when getting a gig at senior lvl, Toovey must really have MM over a barrel with something...

Thought Toovey wasn't as well performed against Geelong in the VFL as Bryan was. I know he plays a different position, its just it is.....:o

BLOODY IMPORTANT:mad:

If Fraser can just get injured, the focus will be off the training staff, and once again on the injury list.

Probably the best side we couldve picked under the circumstances.

Barham in for Dick.

Toovey in for Maxwell.

Goldsack in for Shaw.

And finally, Anthony Rocca in for the unfortunate Johnson.

Wouldve loved to see Sidebottom, but ANZAC Day can be his debut.

DNine Fraser has looked better in the ruck by himself then any ruck partnership we have had for some time, and he has said himself he is enjoying the extra work

OMG!!

I am sick to death of seeing mediocre talents, constantly get rewarded for SFA!!

FFS, how the hell does Toovey get a game with a poor showing in the twos?

Players like Cook, J-Mac, Rusty and Wellingham are constantly getting overlooked for this waste of space.

Good luck to young Barham, at least his form has warranted selection.

How do you know that or are you just guessing?
it was in the article this morning that mentioned corrie as well as rocca, barham, toovey and goldsack were going up.

Also unless we have injuries we only ever send 22 plus 1 emergency

You mean in your opinion or are you on the selection committee now?

Well he is clearly next in line if he was the only emergency to fly with the team, hardly think it is unreasonable for people to have concerns about that.

Toovey was said to have played well as a stopper, possesion counts dont always matter

Cook is rubbish, J-mac hurt himself, Wellingham has been poor all preseason and first VFL match

davies, Iles, Stanley were all first emergencies for months straight

It got 2 of them to delisting and stanley for now no where

MMs emergencies are meaningless, he often names the player least likely to disgrace himself with a last minute call up to the seniors. Corrie who has senior experience is that player, otherwise it is meaningless

I whole-heardtedly agree that possession counts don't matter.

However, ball-winning ability and skill level is far more critical than being a "stopper".

There is only one spot in the team for a "stopper" and it is Presti's. Toovey never has and never will be damaging by hand or by foot.

Cook is far and away more talented than Toovey. Ditto Wellingham and J-Mac.

MM is seriously beginning to lose the faith of many with his BS selections of his "favourites".

Toovey is a defender and comes in for a defender.

Above and beyond that, being a defender offers different things to team structure then Rusty, is a better player then Cook and Wellingham has been woeful all VFL pre-season and in the start of the VFL season.

Cook is rubbish, cant stop anything and his kicking may look better but its no better in teh end then tooveys

Wellingham has looked shit all PS

J-Mac hurt himself again which is by my reckoning his 3rd injury this PS

toovey is in to cover for heath who is back next week, and deep in defense is when toovey looks most at ease.

So calm down and look at the facts

Fair 'nuff

Reasonably pleased with the selections. Toovey and Goldy pretty much wrote their own tickets seeing we have three defensive players out. Cook or Stanley may have been the more obvious choices to come in for a tagging role that BJ started doing last week, but Barham was the bolder choice and the one that may pay off in the long run.

Rocca in for a small gives us a bit more size and it also gives us another ruck option because at a pinch we could run Trav or N Brown up there instead of Leigh Brown when Fraser rests, or worse,if he gets injured.
