B: Chris Newman Alex Rance Jake Batchelor
HB: Brett Deledio Luke McGuane Bachar Houli
C: Trent Cotchin Dustin Martin Brad Helbig
HF: Jake King Tyrone Vickery Robin Nahas
F: Reece Conca Jack Riewoldt Brad Miller
R: Andrew Browne Daniel Jackson Nathan Foley
I/C: Shane Tuck Matthew White Mitchell Farmer Shaun Grigg
EMG: Jayden Post David Astbury Jeromey Webberley

Out: Post(omit) Grimes(inj)
In: White Miller

2 pretty reasonable changes, although I wouldn't have minded Post getting another couple of weeks, but oh well.

Very rough on Posty, not like Dimma to only give blokes one game.

No real suprises.

Hardwick must not see that much in Post to only give him a week. Farmer and Helbig were quieter last week but they still get a gig.

Miller deserves his spot though after kicking 3 vs the Dogs. I'm happy white has come in as he provides more run in the rotations on a humid and hot night.

Surprised more changes weren't made by Port

Happy with the miller in post out change! White is always good to have in but it came as a surprise I thought!

All very well saying Give webberly a shot. Who for?
I love that they just have to keep digging and digging to find their best. He'll get his chance when he forces their hand or a spot opens up and he'll be much better for it.
Remember the days when blokes would get games just because they could? No thanks.

The Post decision I like too.He got a game when he had done nothing to warrant it due to millers illness. He came in and filled a hole, thanks Jayden now go back and work on your game and force them to play you on merit.

I love it. Such a nice change.

Agree RD but can't help but feel we have a lot of players on our list who don't know what it's like to have to fight for a spot. Obviously with players like Dusty you'd be mad not to play them from the get go, but not sure that Helbig has truly earned his games thus far, same with Farmer and Batchelor, though both are impressive. Astbury and Nason are finding out what it's all about now.

That Post kick under no pressure on the full probably was the clincher seeing as Hardwick wants players who can kick properly in the team.

Farmer still in which I think is good and also Helbig.

They did enough to warrant selection.

Congrats to Browne on getting another game due to earning one last week.

It's always tough to force your way into a side when it's winning
Who deserves to get dropped to have Webberley replace him? He wasn't that good for Coburg on the weekend

We've revered straight back to the shortcut. Disappointing. Post against Port could've been good experience for him. Don't like dropping a kid after 1 game.

Looks like Miller is now the future not the insurance. Other than that, don't mind the team. We should get the job done.

Can't agree there. Farmer and Helbig are kids so that's sort of arguing against yourself.Post wasn't ready last week and still isn't.Let him bash the door down.

Its not a shortcut to force guys like Post Astbury Griffiths & Gourdis to perform better than Miller has if they want his spot. Remember the only reason Post played last week was because Miller had the flu, not because Posts form was better.

grigg farmer lucky- lets see what they can do..............

Are their two Griggs playing:confused: The one who is averaging 24 disposals (4th on our list) 73.61eff% (Martin, Cotch, Jack all below him) 5.6 marks (1st on our list) 4th inside 50s, 8th rebound 50s, and the one who you think was lucky not to be dropped.

Has played well for most of the year but he had an absolute stinker last week.

People really are forgetting that post didn't play on merit! He was an emergency someone (miller) got sick before the game so he was called in! As someone said before send him back and make him earn a selection cause he clearly wasn't up to it!

While I don't mind the changes, I would have prefered Astbury for Grimes as the only change. Whitey will give us a speed boost on the big Darwin ground and he has been ok all season so I understand him coming back in, but we look a bit less balanced in the backline without someone playing Grimes 3rd man in role.

I also understand bringing Miller back in. He has been important in the games he played and we are better in the short term with him in ahead of Post, but we haven't been doing too badly by giving the kids a go and taking that longer term view. Would have liked to see how Post went second game in.

It wasnt his best game for the year but it was far from a stinker. People are just to focused on the 3 terrible clangers and forget about the 14 or 15 quality disposals he contributed.

The one he did in the back pocket was a beauty. Essendon ''grog squad'' said, you f***** up! you f***** up! Then the player he kicked it to kicked it out on the full. Half the punt road end turned around to the Essendon guys and went nuts doing the same chant but 10x louder, was insane! :D
