Waite, Thornton, Johnson, Browne named on extended bench. Looks like Gibbs, Murphy and Jacobs are out and in comes the clones of Kreuzer, Judd and Betts!

that can't be right

Clearly Jacobs, Gibbs and Murphy are missing. That could be the Followers line or the forward line. Would be weird to see Gibbs up forward, so I would suggest the forward line is Kreuzer, Judd, Betts and the followers are as I said above.

Judd named at full-forward. Interesting.

Almost happy that McLean is out with a hip injury, in that it probably explains his shithouse performance last week.

Henderson on bench? Maybe dropped. Don't get why Browne or Johnson get a gig before Robbo or Hadley.

Hadley is injured, and perhaps Robbo has gone back to work on some specific things in the Ants. Johnson will be in the mix for his excellent foot skills, but Browne seems to be an interesting one. Perhaps Russell is a little doubtful with his corkie from last week?

Hadley is injured. Henderson on bench cos he will be dropped. Robbo is stiff after 45 touches last week, perhaps not working on specific things he's been asked to sort out? Johnson has been dominating.

When isn't Hadley injured?

We'll get beaten again.

Shame Robinson dosen't come in. He's a better prospect than Browne & Johnson & Carrazzo for that matter...get the games into him!

I wonder how naming these extended benches effects the players? Are they given the chance to see who really wants it or is it just a way of not giving too much away to the opposition?

Interesting selection decisions. Genuinely can't pick the final bench based on the extended one we see now.

Johnson has from all reports been very good lately in the VFL and I said earlier he'll get some more chances but I didn't think they'd include him in high pressure games like this one. Having said that the MC may feel they can use his long kicking to penetrate the Saints backline so we may see him in the side. I still don't think he'll play though but stranger things have certainly happened.

Not sure how Browne has been going in the VFL but from memory he was outstanding against the Saints last year and may be used as a defensive midfielder. I am all for giving younger players another chance to show what they have to offer.

Thornton if he plays will benefit from having a fit Bower, Waite and Jamison in the backline with him. It will allow him to play a more natural game and we will be a better team as a result.

Jeffy was very quiet against the Pies but the MC may back him in to provide great pressure alongside Yaz and Eddie.

Hendo may get dropped but I really do doubt it.

One of White and Hendo probably won't play and if Thornton does play I suspect it will be White that gets the chop.

Good to see Waite back & unfortunate for Brock who is injured again. He'll be back.

I think we'll see this:

IN: Waite, Thornton
OUT: McLean, White

Bench: Carrazzo, Henderson, Garlett, Thornton

Wonder if Browne will be used as a fill in for Brock. Has been in the middle before and we all know he's as hard as, or maybe he's coming in specifically to belt Milne.

Also, would have thought Hadley would be in for McLean. Hasn't Hadley been killing it?
