Team vs Brisbane

I just can't believe it.

Rossco I have defended you to the hilt, but you are making comments and decisions that makes it very hard for me to support you.

Ray Charles can see that we are struggling at the moment, so why would you turn to a player who has had more opportunities than Terry Wallace in Aaron Fiora to steady the ship? He simpy refuses to put his body on the line.

Our midfield goalkicking is near non existent and yet Armitage who has averaged a goal a game since coming into the side has been given the flick. We need tough nuts against the Lions and Armo's attack on the pill is one of the few shining lights so far this year.

I'm happy with the other inclusions although I would have thought Ferguson would have been the ideal candidate to play Charlie Gardiner's role.

I guess there's no need to worry, Geary will be dropped after three solid games anyway and Armo may get his chance again then. That seems to be par for the course with the young guys.

My poor loungeroom will be be seeing an angry version of myself starting to evolve oooo, probably about 1.45pm on Sunday afternoon.

End rant.

Ott Oh..:( Very, very pissed off with the team. Disgusting bringing in fiora and dropping Armo..Roo must be extremely fit for them not too have included fergie

Does anyone knows whether Armitage completed all training sessions this week ? He did have very limited game time last week and an injury would just about be the only reason I could think of to drop him. The official teams do not indicate an injury though...

Another reason I could think of is that Lyon has had enough of being head coach and is looking for a golden handshake - our forward line was abysmal last week and yet, while dropping three forwards (Raph Clarke played as forward last week), there is only one real new forward (acknowledging that we won't find any better than Riewoldt of course). Our forward line will now consist of Schneider (completely out of form) / Riewoldt (first game back from injury) / Fiora (I assume - well, let's hope) / Koschitzke (completely out of form) / Milne (yes, he gad 11 against Brisbane in 2005, but that was at TD) / Birss (I assume - yes, he had two goals against the Pies, but does that make him better than Ferguson or McEvoy ?). This means that we will need goals from our midfielders, meaning that it appears not to be the best idea to drop the best goalkicker from our midfielders...

There is of course one last possible reason : Ross Lyon is a coaching genius and we win the game. I'll be the first to acknowledge that I know nothing then...

" START RANT"

Rossy Lyon is giving Terry "Spin King" Wallace a run for his money on a lot of fronts... First of all I find his press conferences very painfull.. the man could find positives in the Earthquake in China!!

His assesment of last weeks game where he thought the team missed a couple of chances to win the game... was a long way short of the mark. Factual to a point in that if Milne and Hayes had kicked a couple of pretty easy ones... the Saints would have been right in the game.. However Blind Freddy noticed that the forward line was a complete mess and the delivery from the midfield was not giving the saints forwards a chance. Milne one out in the square with the ball kicked in high and long is a comedy act... not a forward set up!

Now this week with D Armitage and even C Jones being left out while the likes of Fiora get a call up is the icing on the cake for mine.

R Lyon staking his claim for the worst coach in the comp...

Dempster is lucky to be getting a game. Ditto Schneider on last weeks performance.

Happy to see Raph Clarke dropped and Gehrig out but feel a tad sorry for Charlie as he looks dangerous up forward at times.

Hope we go with M gardiner, Geary, Armitage and Fiora as our bench.

Not a fan of Ferguson!!
