Just reading it from this it seems we had a bit of a dip and although missing a couple of players were reasonably competitive. No Richo Kent or Simmo and only went down by 5 goals. Still say there are some good signs for Round 1 against the Blues. Seems as though we only had the one really good quarter(2nd) and to me it shows that even without the big guns playing/firing we can bang on 5-6 goals in a quarter that is not classed as junk time.

How did the players who played in the earlier game look?

Wasnt the best game from Browny. Polak, Newman and Pettifer were my top 3. Gaspar and Tivendale made some shocking errors that led to goals :(
Gaspar was brilliant today, he really looks like he could get back to his best, absolutley murdered Russel Robertson.

Good thing for Schulz was that he didn't fade away throughout the game, he kept going and had some very good plays.

Krakouer was at the front and centre of almost every pack and looked very dangerous, just couldn't convert in front of goal.

Polak is going to be a star, whether itis in the forward line or backline he knows what to do, to get the ball and make plays from it.

Couple of Bad Points were:
Tivendale was the WOG absolutley awful, turned it over time and time again, anytime he had it he turned it over.

The last thing was that we were very hesitant to kick at goal once we got near the 50, almost every player wanted to give it off or pass it to someone about 10 metres away and I dont think it came off once, very strange.
