My bench would be Hyde, Draga, McGrath and Mills (give Mills a last chance in the last two games). I'd probably drop McGrath if we were still in finals contention but given there isn't much to play for keep him in the team.

Agree, although i think cameron will play.

Can't believe Houlihan is still in the team.

Would like to get a good look at Guerra, as my mail is that we are seriously looking at getting him over next year.
I really rate Guerra hard at it and can play forward, midfield or down back. Would be a regular in almost every other team in the league. Whenever he gets dropped from Port he goes back to Central District and is in the best for them every time he plays for them.

Where is Schulz?

Don't overpay for Guerra!! Offer a 4th or 5th rnd pick and if Port don't take it then walk away. I'd rather use our draft picks and let Miller do what he is paid to do.

As much as I love watching the young guys coming through, and get genuinely excited at the prospect of McGrath, Schultz etc.. doing some game time, there is always the possibility that he is not yet fully ready to go at senior level.

The last thing we want is for him to suffer a structural injury up against those larger senior opposition bodies, and limit his pre-season preparation for 2004. Maybe the Sarge been given a taste of the seniors, to get a feel for it and know just what's required, and then he'll have a full off-season to build up his 19 year-old body.

As much as they were criticised at the time, our selectors seem to have gotten it right with Coughlan and Krakouer in their first year in 2001. Both were probably too hard at it for their own respective good when they were too fragile to really handle it. The end justifies the means, as far as those too are concerned. Whereas Rodan has always been bigger bodied .. and hence has played every game.

Just a suggestion ?? ....

I would have to agree entirely Ghost. Schulz is a long term player and it is good that we are developing him slowly. On the other side of the coin, maybe this is where the 'scared' play of the likes of Pettifer comes from - taking a few hard hits before they are ready?

So in other words, don't even look at Guerra.

Matthew Rogers and Chris Hyde have been included in Richmond’s final 22 for Sunday’s game against Port Adelaide at Telstra Dome.

Rogers and Hyde retained a spot on the Tigers’ interchange bench – along with Leon Cameron and Bill Nicholls – after final selection on Friday night.

Martin McGrath, Andrew Mills and Mark Dragicevic were cut from the extended interchange bench Richmond named on Thursday for its round 21 match.

Hyde and Rogers are the only ins for Richmond this week, while Kayne Pettifer (leg) and McGrath (omitted) will be missing from the side that played Essendon last week.

Jarad Poulton and Toby Thurstans are the only players to come into Port Adelaide’s side this week, after retaining their positions on the trimmed Power interchange bench named on Friday.

Michael Wilson and Che Cockatoo-Collins will also begin the match on the bench.

Domenic Cassisi, Adam Morgan and Brent Guerra are the Power’s emergencies, while Roger James (groin) and Darryl Wakelin (ankle) will be missing from the Port side that defeated Melbourne last weekend.
