Something which a few SC's might be faced with this year - and a problem I'm contemplating, is the positional placing of players from the same team in the same area of the ground.

For example, a rough team I have at the moment includes Deledio, Cotchin and possibly Cousins from Richmond (and that might stretch further is Coughlan is cheap and looks like he will play in 2009)

Wondering what the pros and cons are of this type of arrangement. Any experienced SCers out there that have had a similar problem or issue come up, and how did you approach it or deal with it.

It's only a problem if the team has a shocker, but as those who stocked up on Geelong players in 2008 found, it's not a problem in and of itself.

Further to that, it also depends on the players themselves... Certain players still find the footy regardless of how their team goes. So if they are natural ball winners regardless, it won't matter as much... Where as if they were downhill skiers, then you got a problem.

Yes and no. To illustrate, let's look at Geelong's performance in their one loss for H & A 2008;

Ablett 127
Bartel 65
Corey 105
Selwood 68
Gamble 29
Johnson 30
Ling 61
Milburn 85

Now I wouldn't say that Bartel doesn't win his own ball. The players who come out of a shellacking relatively unscathed seem to be those who are in ridiculously good form, and we'd all love to be able to predict form that far in advance.
