We should give him another year though right?, we are on the right track.

Apparently its not about wins and losses, according to Westozpie and a few others.

To be honest, loyalty to a club legend aside, there is simply no redeeming feature about Buckley's coaching.

- The game style is putrid...small losing margins is not a badge of honour

- His gameday coaching is rancid - Goes in with Plan A, sometimes works, then gets outplayed for three quarters as he's too stubborn to change Plan A

- Richmond have gone past us, Hawthorn have already gone past us after an 8 game rebuild. Brisbane and Carlton will probably pass us by next year. Essendon have passed us

There is very little to look forward to under a Buckley regime for another year or two....just more of the same dross

For the first time in my adult life, I will not renew my membership if Buckley is reappointed and I fear many others will do the same.

If he is reappointed, it will be an injustice to our club, where one man (Eddie) has hijacked it for his own agenda and loyalty to a mate - this is supposed to be side by side for all of us, not just Eddie and his mate Bucks.

Are you quoting me directly on that (if you are feel free to show that post where I said it) or is it your interpretations to my posts.

Loyalty to a club legend ain't part of the equation - he was paid as a player - that finished 10 years ago. We should now be assessing his coaching - nothing more nothing less

Yes we should....his coaching is big FAIL by any actual measurement that exists other than peoples excuses and imagination.

Get a grip Pies fans. No Fasolo, Grundy,Pendlebury, DeGoey, Wells, Varcoe, Goldsack, Greenwood plus blooding new kids against a side contending and locking down a top 4 spot and we lose by under 2 kicks.
A couple of less shanks at goal and we win and we'd all be cheering from the rafters.
I may be in the BF minority, but I'm backing Bucks. We have not copped a towelling all year and have been in winning positions in nearly all games.
It's coming together , those losses in our marquee games against Essendon, Carlyon and the Dees hurt us a lot and cost us a probable finals spot.
We are young and gelling nicely.
I'm not setting my hair on fire each time we stumble.
Side by side for me

Question: Is anyone accountable for the fact we have finished lower on the ladder for each of the past 6 years?

I wish we have a decision soon, just so that when I log on, I don't have to see this thread near the top every time.
Surely Buckley has achieved every negative coaching stat there is.

Nah it's all just about premiership points. If we can beat Melbourne next week then we'll have 9 wins again, but 2 more premiership points than 2016 because of a draw. And 2 more premiership points means we're on the right track to make finals in perhaps 2020

If we don't get stuck with him next year which team will he destroy next? or will he get a media roll as a "expert commentator"

Lost today by 11 points with what 6 _ 8 of the best 22 missing. Stick tigbt people

Oh FFS. And I guess the cats have no injuries or suspensions either? We belted them by 30 odd points 15 rounds ago. We didn't fire a shot after 1/4 time. The coach doesn't even bother to go man on man with 5 mins to go just to see if the players can win against their opponent.

Watch the replay. Roos was absolutely dumbfounded as to why we kept the same structure (plus 1 floating down back) from 1/4 time onward. With 5 on the clock Roos was literally saying "if they want to win this they need to get rid of the plus 1".

It was 6.0 to 1.2 toward the end of the 1st. At 1/4 time Scott put a plus 1 into defence and Bucks was happy to do the same. The remainder of the game Cats won 9.8 to 3.5. The cats won final 3 qtrs 62 to 23. Thats almost exactly what happened in the swans game earlier in the year when the swans had half a side out. We play good for 1/4 and then when opposition bring some heat, we turn to water.

6 years of this shit and you people seriously want another 2 years of it? It's really astounding how deluded you Bucks supporters are

Given I never said anything about premiership points in that post or EVER not sure why your post is replying to me. Think it would have been better as a post..are you confused with who to reply to?

Don't know if you will turn on your usual venom in your reply, but I asked another poster who said of Geelongs injuries similar to you to name them and hasn't. I ask in a calm way for the purpose of a discussion, who did Geelong have out?

There will be a decision next week and I think this thread will go into melt down once bucks is announced for the next 2 years.

Can someone explain to me how a side can kick 6 goals in the first quarter and only 3 more goals for the remaining 3 quarters (in which 2 of those 3 goals were kicked inside 2 minutes).

Only a Buckley lead side is capable of such an inglorious feat. And they propose to extend this bloke.

Mind you with everything that has happened over the past four seasons, nothing would surprise me now.

Not so sure, I really don't mind if it goes either way as if no Clarkson there, may as well stick with him.
