yes, clearly he is 100% and this is as good as it is for Hodge,

If Judd gets the luxury of still being considered a gun whilst playing injured (last season), surely Hodge gets the same luxury, as he is without a doubt in this group if fit.

Hodge last year, fair enough. Hodge this year, no chance in hell. Injury is no excuse. If Judd was playing injured last year, good on him. Fact is he was still influencing games, unlike Hodges efforts this year.

Dont take it as a troll, as an Essendon supporter i hate Carlton and Hawthorn equally, and thought Hodge thoroughly deserved his NS medal last year.

Still, you could probably make a case for Hodge and Bartel.

I think the OP's list is pretty spot on. But i'd also put Simon Black in the elite category. Is just about the most professional footy player going around, and is still playing his best footy.

I think that's part of the challenge. I imagine it would be mainly on current form. However, some players have a certain amount of credits in the bank, and can still be seen as elite, even though they aren't at their best at present.

Such players could include the likes of Kerr, C Cornes, Fevola, Richo, Hodge, etc. All ar potentially elite, but aren't playing their best footy.

No-one has said Jono Brown yet. Whilst I think he is a bit over-rated in terms of never kicking 100 goals like Franklin has, he should be classed as elite.

James Bartel is the number 1 player in the comp and Dan Cross comes bloody close when it come to winning the hardest to win of the hard footy.

That matchup on Friday night was dynamite.

Who is this C Reiwoldt ? He must be some player to be one of only 3 elite players. Any relation to Jack or Nick ?

I agree with your trim down tho. I think Elite is way over used. It should refer to the best of the best. There should be a limit of say 5 players and for someone to come in someone must go out. Last year I had Ablett,Cox,Franklin,Brown and Scarlett as my 5.
