Broken
Brownlow Medallist
The vault has been opened once again, well it is a Broken vault after all- geddit , and this time it comes with a new project.
For those unfamiliar with the SweetRankings, those rankings were a process of trying to determine the best player in the competition using the results generated by the sim, and a couple of other measureable values, to try and eliminate the personal bias in the many league based ranking/voting systems.
This new project is something similar. At the time I thought of creating a team based rankings system, but put it aside. However outside interests had me revisiting the idea and I plugged in the smallish sample size of 256 SweetFA teams across the history of the league to test it. Rather than keep the results in my vault, I thought I'd share those rankings with the league. And what better time than at the conclusion of 25 seasons.
These have been worked out using factors accessible in the Sweet FA results hub : ladder position, points for / against, finals output, ... They were calculated relative to their season, then ranked against other teams. This has led to some interesting results in comparison to the actual ladder position and end of season results.
I will be adding the rankings to this thread throughout the course of the season, as I prepare posts, graphics and whatever else I need to present the results.
This thread will only contain the rankings. All discussion of these rankings will be in a seperate discussion thread (FOUND HERE) and any posts in this thread other than the rankings will be moved to the discussion thread thanks to Cloud_
