You can buy these fancy plastic covers so that you don't need to waste glad wrap every time you put something in the microwave...I thought everybody had one.
Plastic covers are so much better. I have never mastered using cling wrap and no doubt never will :o

I have just checked my sauce bottle. It says 'refrigerate after opening at or below 4 degrees Celcius'.

Nonetheless, it will remain in the pantry for the term of its natural life.

Red wine is the same. It's a myth that it's not meant to be refrigerated. In fact when I did my bar course I was told it should be refrigerated.
That's for storage after opening, because it lasts longer. Drinking red wine too cold kills the flavour though, by exaggerating the tannins. It's tantamount to putting ice in good Scotch.

Don't even get me started on sparkling red wine.

i try and stay away from putting cling wrap in the microwave. i pop grease proof paper or a paper towel over my food. mainly to keep everything clean inside.

as for sauce i prefer in the pantry since the sauce doesnt cake onto the top of the bottle as much. but either way is fine. think that putting in the fridge keeps it a bit fresher. but apart from putting it on the rare pie or snags i eat at home. i hardly touch the stuff

Haven't really taken much notice of this issue until now. But when I think about it, pantry should be the go. The coldness of the sauce can be overpowering on hot food.

Atm we've got a big sauce bottle sitting in the pantry but a normal squeezy bottle sitting in the fridge. I just put it back wherever I got it from tbh.

at the folks it was always fridge sauce, the missus is a pantry person doesn't really bother me to be honest.

my wife used to put the nutella in the fridge with the jam, jam doesn't really bother me but having to microwave the nutella so it doesn't ruin your toast. I eventually got her to rationalise on that one.

and as it's been said you cover stuff in the microwave so you don't have to clean it every time you use it

I don't believe there is anything organic in sauce that would allow it to go off.

Pantry.

Vegemite - Pantry. Unspreadable when refrigerated.

LOL, radiation.

Its so you don't have to get your mum to clean the microwave every time you use it.

Sauce gets hot and expands and spits everywhere.

Microwaves freak me out, so I assumed something deadly. When you can put stuff in there to explode, it means that device is pure evil.
I dont want my shit exploding. Or being radiated. Or giving me cancer.

**** microwaves :o
