With Tsimikas coming that probably means Larouci will be sold since he wants out.

Sounds like Adam Lewis might end up going to Luton Town on loan. I wonder if he'll play CDM or LB for them since he did a mix of both for the U23s pre-COVID.

Gotta sell one of Wilson or Grujic I reckon to fund that.
Yeah the 11 million we made on Lovren went straight onto Tsimikas.

So we will need to move a couple more fringe players now. Wilson and Grujic the obvious two with apparently quite a lot of interest in both. I dont think Thiago is happening.

Yep officially done. Dont know much about him to be honest outside of Youtube videos, looks decent in those videos though. Gets up and down and has really good delivery.

How good is Robbo with no competition, now how good will he be!!

3 options up front:

Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal)

The website smarterscout uses players’ statistical profiles to present suggestions for one who might be like another. One of their top matches for Sarr is Chukwueze, and he is also marked down as both a ‘young player to watch’ and a potential high performer in the Premier League.

A look at his and Sarr’s stats from the last two years, on Understat , also suggests the two players can deliver a similar level of output.

Their expected goals per 90 minutes played across the last two seasons has been just 0.01 different (0.23 per 90 for Chukwueze), and Chukwueze’s increased creativity over the last 12 months means he was 0.01 ahead of Sarr on expected assists in 2019/20, on 0.20 per 90.

You can’t get much more similar than that, can you? The 21-year-old Nigeria international is excellent at going past opponents, too – only four players who made at least 30 appearances completed more dribbles per 90 minutes than he did in La Liga (2.8) this season (via WhoScored ).

Moussa Diaby (Bayer Leverkusen)

One of Sarr’s great strengths in 2019/20 was how creative he was despite playing for a struggling team. Only two players aged under 23 created more clear-cut chances than the nine he fashioned this season: Trent Alexander-Arnold with 18, and Dwight McNeil with 12 (via SofaScore ).

The only players of any age whose teams finished in the bottom half of the Premier League who were more creative by this measure were Richarlison and Pascal Gross. Finding a young forward with a similar ability to put colleagues clean through isn’t a straightforward task.

One such option is Moussa Diaby, who was only behind Jadon Sancho and Kai Havertz in the Bundesliga in 2019/20 when it came to players aged under 22 creating clear-cut chances. He is also an intriguing prospect as his underlying statistics were better this season than they were in 2018/19, despite the fact he was with Paris Saint-Germain that year. If he can step up further, he might show people that they’ve been targeting the wrong Leverkusen starlet.

Serdar Gurler (Huesca / Goztepe)

Liverpool have tended to purchase players who have established themselves but aren’t quite yet at their peak yet. Veterans haven’t been on their shopping list in recent years, but these are challenging times and they may need to relax their rules on this if they are to refresh their squad this summer.

Gurler turns 29 in September, and like Chukwueze has been identified as both similar to Sarr and also a potential Premier League star by smarterscout. The Turkey international spent this season on loan from Huesca with Goztepe, and created 10 clear-cut chances in the Super Lig while he was there ( per SofaScore ).

While crossing is not something Liverpool tend to look for from their forwards, they certainly create chances that way and Gurler has proven to be proficient in this area. He completed 29% of his crosses this season – the average is around 20% – and his average of 0.8 crossed chances created per 90 minutes would put him in among the top 20 in the 2019/20 Premier League.
