Probably. Need Barca to buy someone else so then they dont need Cout. Sick of being a feeder club to Barca and Real. Arbeloa, Alonso, Mascherano, Suarez.... now Coutinho.
It's always us too. When was the last time Barca or Real raided Arsenal or United or Chelsea or City.

Part of me thinks Keita will be announced when the team arrive in Germany and he will link up there however reports are still saying red bull aren't selling at any price. Come on just announce it either way.
If we just end up with VVD it will still be a successful transfer period.
Also, regarding Coutinho, his best mate at Liverpool is Moreno so for the club to knock back a very good transfer price for Moreno means they are trying everything to keep Coutinho settled and happy at Liverpool.

I guess can't blame Phil for wanting to go to barca. They are barca of course. We are a big club but maybe a fraction below barca. Once we start winning again trophy wise we will bridge that gap.

Jurgen needs to reinforce to Phil the youth of our list relative to Barca's age cliff they're about to fall off, especially with Neymar leaving. And remind him that that a Brazilian has left Barca to go hang out with Brazilian mates at PSG, maybe because he wasn't made to feel welcome. Throw in some stuff about dodgy deals and being chased by the Spanish tax authorities. Plenty of seeds of doubt to play with IMO.

Have you seen the absolute MOTHERLOAD of support LFC has across Asia and Australasia? We'd have to be pretty damn close to 2nd (only to ManU) on that score. And that's including Barca, Real, Juve etc.
Soton has hardly bought anyone, they bought one defender and that's Fonte's replacement from last season. Good luck in this league without strengthening
