Yeah she isn't doing herself any favours.

She will claim she is getting a bad edit, but if you don't do s**t things you can't get edited in a bad light.
105 texts messages just for the right picture screams of controlling behaviour imo

Just send them a picture of what you want and stell them what you’d like them to change , if they can’t do it get it as close to possible to what you want and move on

Villians aren't created in reality TV just through editing. If a reality TV star acts badly on the program, that's what they'll show. So how the edit makes it worse is that if there's a lot of bad behavior, it gets highlighted more than any good behavior.

Don't act bad, or don't do it very often, and this won't happen.

Ultimately, it all comes back to how the reality TV star is acting on the show. That's where it starts.

Think Scotty approached it the wrong way. He was pretty blase about it all. You could see the concern on Shelly's face, but Scotty just went hammer and tongs. Probably not the best way to go about it given how vulnerable their headspace is.

I don't really like Sharon much at all but he was hardly empathetic towards them. Mrs C14 thinks they genuinely believe they are giving their all. And that may be, but they probably need to realise they need to work a lot harder.

Having said that, them storming off pretty much summed them up.

Scotty should be asking the hard questions to the casting people who thought that Sharon and Ankur would be able to survive the block environment.

The same can be said with Joel Patful and his influencer wife.

They would be much better off casting real people like Tom and Sara-Jane instead of people seeking their 2 mins of fame.

I thought Shelly tried to reach out to Sharon and Ankur and offer support, but Scotty lost his shit with them and went a bit too hard on them. These are not the kind of people who respond to a 'pull your socks up' type gen X rev-up. They need their egos massaged, and their hands held. I do agree the casting got it wrong selecting them. They just don't have the physical and mental strength to go through a show like The Block. These people are soft. There's no other way to say it.

Rest of the cast are very likable.

I hope the boys win, but I reckon Tom is my favourite. He's so laid back and loves taking the piss.

And the other couples seem very competent compaired to these two lazy narcissists

Just so unlikable and clueless about working in a renovation environment let alone in this “competition”.

No doubt the producers will go out there way to massage their egos to ensure they stay

They purchased 5 houses side by side in Hampton East

Not the best pocket of the Suburb, more of a Moorabbin really. SO prices would be lower than the other Hampton houses. Interesting going back to Bayside council area. Literally the worst council to do anything with yet they always somehow find ways to help the block in a day (doing a simple subdivision and they won't look at it for 3 months!)

Pretty sad when builders are saying "We just asked them for 20mins of clean up and they won't even do that." Or when the chippie asked them if they could pull up the floorboards Monday ready for them to work Tuesday and they didn't even touch them.

I have as much building experience as these 2 but if I was on the block and a builder asked me to do something I'd be happy do anything just show me what I need to do.

Yep Kingston Council just sent me an invoice for $5.5K for them to pull out a tree on the nature strip…

At least one half of the other couples have trade experience, though (without trying to defend them).

But yeah, if you've got any idea about The Block, surely you know it's pretty intensive all around and it's not the place where you can bludge.

Yeah it's a very bad look. It's like they have no regard for the builder at all. Complete lack of respect.

They were also asked to do some stuff overnight with them saying they needed time at night to reflect on the day and instead have dinner because they were exhausted after working hard all day

I just think it’s more entitlement and never being in a working environment more than anything else …I just can’t believe how they act on a working site

Couples with no building experience have been on the show before, and they did OK. You don't need a trade qualification to be a laborer. It takes no skill whatsoever to demo, keep the site clean, or bring the materials in for the tradies to use. Even installing insulation is an easy job after you've been shown what to do. So there are no excuses for S&A in this situation.

I do find one thing odd. People were saying about S&A, "They chose this house..." This is not true. They came last in the initial room challenge that decided the order of couples picking what house they wanted. So they got the house nobody else wanted, and I think we can see now why. The size of this house scared off the more experienced contestants. I do think this fact probably feeds into S&A's mindset too.

Their chippie posted on Instagram that they themselves need to go home and see family, kids, pregnant wives and shouldn't be expected to come out after hours and do work that anyone can be doing, or more accurately, the contestants should be doing (no power tool work but labour)

Also said that the issue had been raised plenty of times and nothing changed and all came to a head last night (i didnt watch the episode or many this season so have no idea what happened)

Bear in mind that S@A will most likely make a tidy profit for 12 weeks on site so their whinging and hissy fits is really pathetic when you keep that in mind …also them claiming they are working hard and that they shouldn’t be expected to work more ect is laughable in the face of the other couples doing extra work and even chipping in to cut down costs with little to no complaining .

Everyone’s bedroom and bathroom were shit tonight. They are handing out 10’s like it’s they’re the most amazing bedrooms and bathrooms ever.

That wallpaper in Toms bedroom is horrible and the toilet does not tie in with the bedroom. Shayna is in another universe this season. Those 100 x 100 square tiles that everyone is using in their bathrooms are the most horrendous things ever. Am I in a public toilet in the 60s or something?

Absolutely no way the boys were even close to a 10 with their rooms. It annoys me that every weekend there has to be 2 teams fighting for the win so they score accordingly…..

Would love to know how Shazza is allowed to spend $38K every week when their budget is $25K?

Good luck having a budget of $21K for kitchen week. The stone bench top alone will set you back $10K……

Sounds like the budget is just for trades, the big ticket items like cabinets and benchtop would be supplied by the sponsor.

They've already said anything from Kinsman is completely free so most of the money would be on trades for sure.

At this stage, H2 and H4 won't have any money for their landscaping. They are consistently over budget each week, not by a little, but by a lot. It won't be long before Scotty starts having the 'budget" talk with a few of these couples. H5 spent more than $38,000 last week.

The money allocated from Suncorp each week is to pay for trades & building materials and some styling items not covered by their Block Bucks. They do get free things like the Kinsman wardrobes and the Freedom Kitchens. They have a budget allocated for places like Mitre10, Beaumont tiles, Reece bathroom stuff, and Beacon lighting. Once they use these budgets up at these suppliers, they have to pay for things out of their Suncorp money.
