Is a stylist where you are spending block bucks going to be that brutally honest as well?

Yeah I have noticed that. Steph is no doubt bit of an odd ball, but there seems to be some dislike towards her.

It is incredibly mean when she does it. Hope she is watching this back and feeling ashamed, but I doubt it.

Agree. There was nothing wrong with their styling, and it was a nice room. They lost points because of the functionality issues. Same with the other couple who did a corporate office look. The real mistake they made in that room was buying that marble for the fireplace. The room ended up costing them $37G and that's way too much to spend on a home office space that can't be used as a bedroom too. The way A&L are going, they will run out of money several weeks before the build ends.

The main idea probably was to make them look like a bunch of twats.

And I reckon they succeeded at doing that.

I was wondering the same thing about that. Got me thinking that maybe there was some acknowledgement from CH9 that they should have done more to help the teams waterproof their houses? I noted that there was very little said by Scotty in the judging about the whole issue. Given how quick they are to provide "constructive feedback" usually, I got the feeling they didn't want to draw any attention to what had happened, which suggests they could/should have helped.

If that's not the case, the rectification costs should come out of their budget. If you wanna say "she'll be right" then deal with the consequences.

I think it's an acknowledgement that it's made for tv drama. You'd never ordinarily be renovating downstairs rooms when 1) you're building an extension on top, and 2) you don't have a roof built, and you're relying entirely on tarps to keep everything dry. But the show requires them to do it, so I guess the give and take is that 9 re-do rooms that were destroyed by stupid, made for tv construction schedules.

I thought the builder copping a spray from Leah held himself well. Can't say I would have reacted as diplomatically as he did. Luckily for Leah, he is the Ch9 builder and not their builder, otherwise I'd be confident in saying he would have quit at that point.

I thought the break dancing thing was a bit stupid, I like the idea of earning challenge money but let's somehow continue to keep it even remotely something related to homes/renovating/styling etc.

The girls come across to me as one of the most genuine contestant pairs to come on this show, they seem far too normal (with quirks)
