Firstly, kudos to the young fella -- having a stirling debut year and the best Greg to play for Freo since Harding.
I was having a yarn over a pint or two whilst watching the game on Sunday with a mate debating the correct pronunciation of "Broughton".
In the fine history of commentators getting Freo players' names wrong (every Indigenous player was Chisholm etc) I thought this post may serve to assist AFL talking heads to get this kids name right before his career takes off.
So back to the Broughton paradox.
Is it
broar-ton
Or
Brow-ton
Or as Wikipedia believes:
Brottun
Maybe if anyone cares they can make one of those poll things.
