according to this bulldogs could nab him at pick 15, we have 14 (for now anyway), could he be the daniel rich slider of the 09 draft, hope we dont get the chris yarran of the 09 draft!

does seem like the writer hasnt done any real research and i doubt he will fall that far, but if he does and we trade 14 and say dawes for example for fevola, would we be happy with that?

People have mentioned this but we should Take Matthew Panos he kicks at 73% efficiency (one of the best in the draft) strong mark etc.

Apparently he is a pretty terrible kick for goal.

I'm guessing if he keeps talking like that he may not even go in the first round, as there seems to be a few tall forwards rated around the 10-15 pick mark in the draft.

Was Ed talking in general about trade week or was he referring this to the Collingwood Football Club?

Also for the record, Richmond have pick 3 not 5. If we are to trade Cloke+ pick 14 for pick 3, it would almost guarantee us Butcher.

Having said all that I haven't got an opinion on this yet. I'll just wait and see what happens in trade week.

not saying you started this but pick 14 + cloke for their pick 3......i think there is a richmond supporter playing a pie amongst us hahaha

Article in the HUN today suggesting that Butcher would drop down as far as Bulldogs pick leaving them with a dilemna as to picking him up or not.

Had to chuckle as he will not drop that far plus there is no way he would slip past us!

But do you know what collingwood were thinking ?
Trading cloke and our first pick 14 to Richmond to get their pick 5 to secure Butcher,NO WAY would i do that,that would be the biggest blunder in recent recruiting history !
I would be fuming if that happened.

If he was around at pick 14 and we pickled him up just with that pick no worries,but i would no way trade Cloke and our first round pick for someone who can't kick...........
We need players who can pin point and acuurately kick goals.
Clokey will tear it up next year,mark my words.

Not true, it is Dawes that is being talked about in any trade concerning a lower pick to get Butcher.
Cloke has NEVER been discussed in regards to getting Butcher

like always people are trying to predict the draft i would think that if he is as good as they say (coulda been near the top 3) then either way you would need a high pick and there is only one way to get one of those.......
wouldnt think alot of clubs would pass up a good kpp that can take a grab.

obviously its not a highlight reel. anyway, he was injured during the 2009 champs, but as the 2008 video shows, the kid is a fantastic prospect.

That's literally every time he entered the shot in the championships game that was televised.

How you could confuse it with a highlight package, I'll never know.

until the dees go bang and snap him up at 11. we have been considering him for pick 2 all year but we will take scully and trengrove now, he has slipped alot but i dare say we will take him if he is still available at 11. we need a KPF.
