Cant believe there is no mention of their tour on this "music" bb shame shame shame!!!

Would have loved to go and see them , I had the cassette Singles Going Steady permantley on the car casstte player for decade, absolute greatest comp album ever!!

Was listening to this album all throughout the 80s when everone else was getting into the shittyarse Farnesy and Barnesy crap.

Anyway someone post a review I know their are a few BF genuine music lovers where are you Cats56, Leaping Lindner, Ghost of Jim Jess and other likeminded souls?

I missed them this time. Had my ticket and was all set to go but struck down with a migraine saturday arvo - impressed doesn't begin to describe it!!

A couple of like minded mates went and were blown away. They did the first two LPs from start to finish and then threw in a couple of singles at the end!

I've seen them three times previously (1992,94 and 2003) and i still rate 1992 in my top three gigs of ALL time.

I missed as well. Tix sold out up this way before I could get a hand on one. Laughed at the young bloke on the radio the next day saying that he thought that his Dad pogoing at the gig was pretty funny until he realised all the other old gits were as well.

As to listening to Barnsy and Farnsy in the 80's Nah! Dunedin Sound for me.

It was originally a B-Side (Promises was on the A side) and not on the first two LPs which was the bulk of the set list. But Howard Devoto released it as an aside!

saw them in adelaide - was a great fun gig. Pete shelley looked like an Old Grandad. I took my teenage boys and they luved it just as much. Great value for 50 odd bucks and the Spazzys we good fun too.

Not a fan but a mate said they blew the Perth crowd away. Had to transfer the gig from the Amplifier to Capitol, ticket sales were that good.
