And the third umpire can't even get it right on DRS. It's a disgrace.

I just dont see how the third umpire couldnt give that out? If he cant see that then surely he shouldnt be umpiring cricket....And the third umpire can't even get it right on DRS. It's a disgrace.

Sick and tired of international cricket. Not only because the Australian team don't seem to give a damn, but also the way in which technology is ruining the game. Adam Gilchrist has it spot on in this article:
The highest target England have set Australia in an #Ashes Test is 742 at Brisbane in 1928. England won by 675 runs.

Rogers - given out to a full toss missing leg
I didn't see this one so I'm not arguing, but just adding when hit on the full by a full toss, the ball only has to hit in line with the stumps, it doesn't matter if it would have missed leg.
Im confused. Your saying the law is that if you get hit by a full toss, its irrelevant if its hitting the stumps or not?
On current form, they'll need 2 1/2 sessions. I expect them to humiliate us.England will need at least 5 sessions to try and knock the Aussies over again, so I'm expecting a happy hour first up today, then a declaration, or they declare if Root gets to 200 quickly.
Apart from odd variable bounce, the pitch doesn't seem to be too bad.
I wondered about that rule. Certainly has come into play with yorkers hitting the boot in the full. The commentators made no reference to it at the time. It hit him just below the belt, so could have been too high for that rule to take effect.Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. It was introduced 2 or 3 years ago. I don't agree with it, but if you get hit on the pad on the full, the umpire has to assume the ball will continue in a straight line. So, if you get hit in line, even through the ball was possibly drifting down leg, it's out.

England will need only 50 minutes to try and knock the Aussies over again, so I'm expecting a happy hour first up today, then a declaration, or they declare if Root gets to 200 quickly.

Agree with this.I would hope that Clarkey and Boof had said to the boys to just get out there, get your heads down, and bat. Forget the bloody scoreboard, just occupy the crease for as long as possible. It may not help us win this Test, but it would go a long way towards giving a shot at winning the series. Any batsman who gets out in this innings playing a bad shot to the wrong ball should be dropped.
