So anyone keen on pink ball cricket? I suspect they will have problems with the ball. Appreciate they are trying to get more people watching on TV but if it is just going to bring in inequity and ball issues if rather pass.

Starc made that claim in a recent interview. I have no idea what it would mean in practice but I assume it would exclude colour blind players from playing.Am I correct in thinking that colourblind players would have a problem seeing a pink ball? I seem to remember Chris Rogers was in that boat.

Big opportunity for Cummins - the chosen one. Though his lack of match fitness is a worry. In terms of the longer version of the game, don't reckon he's played a match in over seven months.
Not far off i reckon. Rhino was an absolute gun in the 27 test matches he playedDidn't get enough cricket from Harris.
A real shame. Our best fast bowler since Glenn McGrath IMO.
Depending on 1st test, maybe (but hopefully not) we'll see him as a suprsise selection for Lords Test. It would make for good viewing though...Big risk, you'd think. But he'd be there strictly as a reserve, I reckon.
I really hope Cummins can get his body right, I reckon he's a huge talent.
So, it seems that the two warm up games to decide between Marsh and Watson counts for nothing.
Sadly sounds like Watson is going to get the nod unfortunately. It was always going to come down to who impressed the most with the ball, but it's not like Twatson has done anything this tour. Nor for his career that matter! He'll prob take 2 wickets and score 80 under no pressure in Cardiff, and we'll be stuck with him for the rest of the Ashes. Same old story... Utter horseshit.Meaning neither of them will be picked?

In test cricket you'd take wickets over economical bowling, but if their figures are like 2/120 after 14 overs - that prob wouldn't be so great. There is an interesting question: is bowling 12 economical overs for no wickets more desirable than bowling 14 expensive overs for 2 wickets?
