Am I correct in thinking that colourblind players would have a problem seeing a pink ball? I seem to remember Chris Rogers was in that boat.
Starc made that claim in a recent interview. I have no idea what it would mean in practice but I assume it would exclude colour blind players from playing.

Big opportunity for Cummins - the chosen one. Though his lack of match fitness is a worry. In terms of the longer version of the game, don't reckon he's played a match in over seven months.

Big risk, you'd think. But he'd be there strictly as a reserve, I reckon.

I really hope Cummins can get his body right, I reckon he's a huge talent.

Depending on 1st test, maybe (but hopefully not) we'll see him as a suprsise selection for Lords Test. It would make for good viewing though...

Meaning neither of them will be picked?
Sadly sounds like Watson is going to get the nod unfortunately. It was always going to come down to who impressed the most with the ball, but it's not like Twatson has done anything this tour. Nor for his career that matter! He'll prob take 2 wickets and score 80 under no pressure in Cardiff, and we'll be stuck with him for the rest of the Ashes. Same old story... Utter horseshit.

There is an interesting question: is bowling 12 economical overs for no wickets more desirable than bowling 14 expensive overs for 2 wickets?

In test cricket you'd take wickets over economical bowling, but if their figures are like 2/120 after 14 overs - that prob wouldn't be so great.

Here we go... love the Ashes over there.

That back and across movement that Ballance has got as the bowler is about to deliver is very pronounced.
