Games like today are absolutely perfect for playing at Bellerive IMO.
15k at Bellerive, make $1m.
15k at Etihad, make SFA.

Play four home game at Bellerive
1 v Fremantle, 1 v Port Adelaide, 1 v Gold Coast, 1 v Hawthorn.

Makes sense really.
Even if you made only a couple $100k it would still be a better situation than what happened today. 4 less games where your players slip over and risk injury is also a bonus.

I dont buy into this at all.
Was a non-issue today.
Plenty of players slipping over at the MCG, nothing said though.

Etihad looked great and played really well today.
The groundstaff have done a great job turning it around in a difficult year.

Definately not fixed, players still slipping over for no reason. The goal where grover handballed to Sam Wright is a good example, Thomas and Goldstein went to ground without being touched, chunks of turf went flying.

Okay, 15,000 was an ordinary crowd, but at the end of the day, that is how many diehards we really have.

The crowd number didn't surprise me in the slightest. A few more wins like today and I hope we can raise that figure by a couple of thousand.

In case you weren't aware, we are a small club.:thumbsu:

Yes, you're a small club.

Which is why I said the Tasmania move playing games there will be good for you. Don't get much $$ pulling the crowds you do.

A few games in Tasmania would be good for us, but I get the feeling Tasmanian interests and/or AFL interests are attempting to give us a weak deal in order to keep us financially vulnerable and more pliable to a permanent relocation.

That will never happen.

Agree. I thought the surface was shocking today.

So you whinge about having to play Fremantle and Port (and Gold Coast from next year) as home games and now you want to play them as a 'home' game every year?

How about giving Melbourne a real go like your president said you would and find some supporters? That's the only way North is going to survive in it's current form.

So just like they did with Canberra, North Melbourne will use Hobart for a quick cash grab and essentially giving the big middle finger to Tasmania.

I can completely understand North fans being 100% against their club moving away from home, who wouldn't, but if they can't get 20k+ regularly to a home game in a city of more than 4 million, then something's wrong, small club or not. I hope you're right Brad Roo and the Kanga's improving form brings an improvement in crowds.

All you fairweather w#nkers who take delight in North's financial problems can go f#ck yourselves as far as I'm concerned.

You wouldn't have a clue what supporting a financially struggling team is like.

Great to see North continue to get the most out of themselves on the field.

No one takes delight in seeing other clubs being forced to forgo profits to prop up a club like North. The solution is simple. Get some supporters who are prepared to go to their games and get off the gravy train. Don't give people anything to 'delight' in.

As for people not understanding supporting a financially struggling team, tell me which clubs haven't had serious financial issues over the years?

Many thanks mate.:thumbsu:

A handful of self appointed internet oracles don't mean anything in relation to the big picture.

We're young, on the up and we will post our 3rd straight profit in 2010. The crowds will pick up as the side gets steadily better.
