I'd bring it out this week if I were coach. We are a good shot, have been playing some nice footy and are deserving of a win.

I just get a bit of a feeling that it may only take 1 win to change Richmond here. Beat Geelong and we'll have a bit of confidence to go into the Port match. If we can provide a bit of a challenge in that game, Adelaide the next week may not seem so impossible but rather, possible.

Lets bring out our A-game this week. Sign the footy, get the boys really pumped and beat Geelong. Get in front and dont turn back. Lets get this Richmond engine going.

The time is now.

GO RICHMOND.

We have won our 2 crunch games both years. Why don't we just make a pact every week and we'll win every game hehe

what was our crunch game last year? IIRC essendon was 2005.

No-one knows what it was last year except the players and coach. If we don't win the crunch match, the ball gets destroyed with nothing more said. If we win, then it comes out at the end of the game as was the case with the Essendon game.

I love the optimism!!! We should be bringing our A-game every week but as long as Terry keeps playing the kids we will continue to improve and the results will come, I don't think any game we play this year will really be a 'crunch' game given our ladder position, but this season is shaping as a very important one in the development of our team for the future...

If we play like we did against West Coast, we are every chance to beat Geelong. Its just unfortunate its at the Dome.
Thye havent played too badly, its just they have a lot of turnovers at crutial times. I think they mid field and forwards should have more ball security when going forward, but I see too many rash handballs and kicks around the centre or hf.

Unfortunately, so do I. :o

Geelong are gonna come out with steam after being beaten by the Kanga's. If they had of won yesterday, i would have backed us in all the way, but Geelong on the rebound are going to be hard to beat.

just like they were after they lost to pies by 100 points last season. We beat them at shell

Why is that? Bad record at the Dome?

We lost the crunch game last year. It was against St Kilda (where we were insipid) and TW stormed into the rooms with scissors and chopped the ball to bits and stormed off.

So we didn't win that one.

Surely the crunch game is a gimmick ?

As a supporter I'd be a little concerned if the players actually played better in these games - it would mean they were not performing to expectations in other games.

I'd think you would win this week regardless of whether its a crunch game.
