Feels nice to be out of the limelight at times like this.

Not sure how much truth there is to the 'any publicity is good publicity' adage; we've worked hard to get ourselves looked upon favourably by the press, would only take one player to ruin that.

Hope they drove that message home before the players broke for Xmas.

It is good, I'm actually enjoying all the crap getting flown around while MFC sit in the bunkers training their guts out. :thumbsu:

What can you say about CFC? Judd left WCE because of the culture problem and now Carlton has the worst culture in the league. All the while West Coast are looking on the up.

Jesus Judd, anyone would think your the problem....

I don't think Chris will be best pleased.

I wonder if it's his persona, he seems very much a lead-by-example captain, it seems Carlton (and WC before him) required someone a bit more J Brown in nature, not afraid to say what he wants, to who he wants, when he wants. I've always thought the success of Maxwell as a captain is in large part due to that too.

The Fev up north is probably having a quiet chuckle; we can only imagine the carnage on the Yarra if he had frequented that particular night.

It sends a message out that we are one bad decision from a player away from having our club's name dragged through the papers. A club's good reputation can be destroyed very quickly.

Keep working hard and your noses clean boys and the rewards will come.

As for Judd, well karmas a bitch!

We really are one of the best behaved sides in the comp. We've had our moments, but most teams will slip up at times, as people in general do. It's a great sign for the future too, that if you look at most premiership sides of recent times, they don't make headlines for the wrong reasons (West coast excluded). We've certainly got a good group of kids at Melbourne, on and off the field.

I believe we've got that in Brent Moloney. He may not be captain, but I don't think you'd want to be putting the MFC to shame with him around.

Remember, it could always be worth - you could be a Pies fan

We do have one bloke who has a habit of getting into some drama; a fight here and there and some burnouts in a carpark... Oh, that's right. We offloaded him. To Carlton!

Don't get ahead of yourself. We certainly aren't squeaky clean, we've just had no one caught for a while! All though I'm pretty confident we don't have anyone as bad as what Lovett seems to have caught himself up in.

Probably one of the only benefits of being a smaller club is less of a spotlight on you. We may not get as many puff pieces as the bigger clubs get during the season, but at the same time we probably avoid some of the scrutiny players from bigger clubs are put under.
Good with the bad I spose.

I'll just be happy if we back up our good off season press with some good on season press.

Exactly. It is un-wise to be smug in the misfortunes of others. Though saying that I don't really care too much what happens at other clubs, as long it does not effect Melbourne.

I dont think its being smug - but Im pretty happy with the beahviour of our current list. Not squeaky clean Im sure - but generally a pretty well behaved bunch of young blokes.

Would be spewing with Carlton or St Kildas current situations.
