Something im surprised there isn't a thread on already!

With the duck openly saying he is interested in a part time coaching role, our young forwards and our need to develop a CHF, would anyone have a problem with Post, Vickers and Griff learning from the one of the games best CHF?

I understand he has his issues but surely this is an opportunity of a life time for our young key forwards.

Thoughts?

Why do people automatically think that superstars have some special secrets they can pass on?

Maybe he does maybe he doesn't, you never know. But the truth is he is the best CHF the games seen! Maybe just maybe he might know something about playing the hardest position on the ground.

Maybe having the duck there might help then again maybe he wont

All i know is if the duck came down to my club i would sit and listen and pick his brain about everything and maybe if im lucky learn a thing or two

Despite the fact we see them in the media offering nothing of value.

People would have been jumping up and down over Archer being at the club before seeing him try and talk about the game on television.

Collingwood are the only club who could afford to pay the money he would demand on the premises of 'maybe'. They paid alot of moolah to find out the answer. Getting better value from blokes like Watters and Neeld.

Royce Hart is a better CHF than Carey

I would of thought Nick Daffy would be better off teaching blokes like Nahas and Morton the trade rather than Riewoldt and co.

Would be a good addition the coaching panel, throw the laundry and powder room sink at him I say

Superstars of the game got that way mostly through natural talent, not busting their ass to make it and be the best they can be, so they aren't always the best people to teach others their tricks.

As much as i think he would bring great knowledge to the club, i think the circus and his "personal" habits would bring to much negative media attention.

i dont mind the idea (a part time) i am sure he could pass on plenty about leading patterns, forward structure and of course 1 on 1 body work.
by the way royce was better

Cousin's indiscretions were mostly only harming himself, not his team mates

Can't really say the same for Carey who tore the Kangaroos team apart with what he did and has subsequently had the same drug issues as Cousin's on top of it all

CHF of the century - Royce Hart.

You are under 30 I would guess. I remember watching Royce playing with one knee buggered turning 2-3 opponents inside out time after time. He was amazing, especially before his knee was stuffed. When they had top pick the CHF of the century there was only one choice!

Wish I saw some of those days. I was taken to the football at a very young age and have very young images of legends of that era at the end of their playing career.

Can you confirm something for me, Dr Tigris

Did Royce ever play in the reserves in his very final years. I think I remember Royce in the reserves game before the main game with supporters around me commenting how immobile he had become.
