No. TBV's traffic died a couple of years back when it was shut down, the community left, TBV was resurrected but by then the community had started TC.The fall of TBV coincided with begin of this surge, did it not?
Or is it because BF has become more popular?
I'd say it's a bit of both.

The increased Carlton traffic on BigFooty seems to be disillusioned TC posters who might get censored over here, come here, get further censored and float around between about 4 sites. Or they are TC posters that just frequent both. Some may be CSC posters but they seldom announce themselves as that and CSC seems a little more insular in that people don't generally stick their nose outside their own tight community.
Whenever you get big sites, you get little groups forming and some posters are put out by that and go looking for something else.
I do believe though that many BF members are first timers who stumble across this first and stay on the Carlton board because they like the extra rough and tumble when they venture on to other boards. Unofficial Carlton forums don't offer a heap of opposition supporters to argue with.
