Potential delisting / retirements 2002 - 2003

Potential delisting / retirements 2003 - 2004 : It will take us atleast 2 drafts to clear all the deadwood.

Retirements / Delisting in 2003 :

Mansfield, Michael
Manton, Glenn
McKay, Andrew : His call, but difficult to see him play past 2004.
Merrington, Andrew

Make or break year 2003 or will be delisted :

Allan, Matthew
Eccles, Andrew
Fevola, Brendan
Franchina, Anthony
Prendergast, Ian
Houlihan, Ryan

Pagan likes players like Freeborn, Fletcher and Plunkett; See them further develop and take off in 2003.

That's a big call. What if Merrington plays 22 games in the forward line and kicks 40 goals? It's a bit rich suggesting a bloke will be delisted before he's even played a game in season 2003.

Merro !

IMO is bit of 'Hotton' type player. Can take a good grab, but can't kick, and is on the slower side. I would rather have Beasy play HF / FF instead of Merro. We have to move away from the bits and parts player philosophy, and recruit proper kpp's. I place Merro in the former category.

Having said this, I will be rapt if he proves me wrong, becomes a tower at HF / FF slots 40 big ones thru next year.
