Would only need a fish eye lens to create that effect.

So Felix decided to institute a program whereby a specially designed pod was built, with balloon on top, at a cost of God only knows how many hundreds of thousands of dollars (or perhaps in the millions), to take him 39km above the earth so he could jump off it, risking his own life very seriously, just so he could film our flat earth with a fish eye lens, in order to hide the fact that the earth is flat, and advance the "round earth" myth?

Sounds plausible...

how do you know "felix" did this on his own? wasn't this some red bull stunt? all i remember about it from the time was that it was tied with red bull so i knew it was off.

zoning in on this one little event will only keep people going round in circles. who cares about this felix fella? look at it from a bigger point of view, why was this space jump such big news? why was it all over mainstream media getting average joes to tune in and talk about it? to me it doesn't sound so farfetched that the white man set up a con through mainstream media to keep the myth of a sphere planet going, know what i mean? i mean people don't even have to see anything to defend it. you don't question it because TV reported it and it was live streamed on youtube. is that really enough to quench that thirst for knowledge?

also people should stop posting CGI images of the earth and calling them photos.. they aren't photographs... nobody has gone into space with a camera and gone *click* and looked at the image on the little screen.. they're CGI images created with bullshit coordinates..

Yes it was with red bull. And he had several cameras on him, and filmed the whole thing, and it showed a curved earth. Rounded. Spherical. Not flat.

Are you doing a devil's advocate here, or do you genuinely believe the world is flat?

the first one - there are things we're told by some people and things we hear from others, it can all be broken down to a point. i don't know how anyone can believe anything they take for granted through the USA, hollywood, NASA, media

But you don't have to take anyone's word for it.

You can see the curvature of the Earth, when looking out to sea. Or standing in a desert.
You can fly around the world, and never see an edge.
You couldn't dig a hole to the other side of the world.

We wouldn't be alive if the Earth was flat, because it would completely ignore the force we know as gravity.

So yes, it's always very important to question everything.
But sometimes you can answer the question yourself.

Well said.

Not everything is a conspiracy, and this one is ducking ridiculous.

but the refutations just go around in circles. and they don't actually post why or how gravity makes the world a ball. they just say oh but gravity, therefore spinning ball hurtling through the universe at millions of miles an hour.

also no one sees any curvature ever, but this keeps getting trotted out. the problem with the people in the thread is they don't entertain the evidence or refutations to the ball theory, so i wonder why even enter the thread.

There's been numerous examples of people seeing curvature itt...

As for how it becomes a ball, I didn't think that was the discussion, I thought the discussion was "is it a ball", not "how is it a ball".

I've seen the curvature of the Earth.
I've also traveled around the world.
People have sailed around the world.

If your posit is that the Earth is flat. Where are the edges?

this is just proof you haven't watched any of the material provided in the op or subsequent pro-flat posts. if you won't bother with the material, don't bother with the thread.
