on a conventional map, Antarctica is quite close to Argentina and Chile.

You are not answering my question. Why do i need to travel south to find the ice wall? west of chile is the ice wall. There are marine routes from port melbourne to chile, direct. The ship travels west of chile and arrives in melbourne. You can track this through GPS. You can also stop by the Hanga Roa island in the pacific in between. No one ever encountered an ice wall. For something that surrounds t he whole disk, why is that no one can find the ice wall?

i was originally expecting there to be overwhelming fast moving pear earth evidence and a bit worried to find little.

I know of people too that have gone or at least been offered to go to antartica so im attempting to get it all balanced in my mind too.

I currently working with the theory you can go antartica but just the parts closer to the 'inside of the disk', not near the wall

Like most things, the reality, the truth, the best path resides somewhere in the middle. Unfortunately many people prefer to live on extremes, adopting a black and white philosophy, believing all or nothing.

The silent majority draw their line somewhere in the middle. I mean, there'd only be a few who still fervently believe that JFK was shot by only one man.

Keep them arguing among themselves and they'll get nowhere. If it's true that nasa/etc have never left low orbit because it's impossible to date with our technology...No moon trips, manned or otherwise, no Mars rover, no viking....Then we really still can't be sure if the earth is flat or not. In low orbit, 100,000+ feet you cannot see the earth's curvature still because it's so enormous it will still appear flat at the horizon.

So, if that's the case, heliocentricity or geocentricity, flat or round earth, are all still theories. Which one must admit, there is plenty of scientific data and analyses that still don't match either flat or round completely, always anamolies

Satellites is apparently a contentious reality. GPS for instance all ground based tower networks. Eg, they say, why in regions you don't good signals because the distance between towers is further in more remote areas. But if there were thousands of satellites then there should never be consistent loss of signals in remote areas.

Theres also a quote from a military guy somewhere in this thread, who said earth is flat because radio signal tracking cannot function with a spherical earth.
