Who is a rat?
Just about everyone, I think.

St Kilda
Zac Jones
Nathan Jones
The Simpsons
St Kilda
Geelong
Arnotts (who the hell chooses what goes into the family assortment?!?)
Collingwood
Abraham Lincoln
The St Kilda cheer squad
People who take the P155 out of bedders
Probably me now
and don't forget St Kilda.

;)

Brandon Jack has published a book about fictional footy players that is scathing of footy club culture. HB Meyer has published a review that is scathing about Brandon Jack's book: https://themongrelpunt.com/uncategorized/2025/10/14/pissants-book-review/. The Guardian's review was similar: https://www.theguardian.com/books/2...k-review-novel-former-afl-player-brandon-jack. ABC has been a little kinder: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-07...jack-publishes-debut-novel-pissants/105517366.

I actually think his career trajectory is eerily similar to Jack Buller. Picked up while playing in the WAFL. Spent a few years in our reserves but kept getting injured at the wrong time. Was eventually able to get a couple of games together but collingwood made them offers that were too good to refuse.
Collingwood loves our emerging talls.
I have a very astute friend who is an avid Collingwood supporter and also an osteopath. He is also still playing football in a decent standard comp as a ruck/ chb.

He has a big smile on his face about getting Buller. Thinks it's Cameron mark 2. I tend to agree somewhat.

I remember thinking there was something seriously wrong with Longmire's assessment of Cameron when he dropped him after one senior game against the Suns. We were flogged that day, but it was not Cameron's fault.

His kicking was and is, absolutely elite, especially for goal, he is an excellent athlete, and has the full range of skills a ruckman needs. Injuries were not in my opinion, the reason he was not given a chance. All these qualities were on perfect display back then.

I think that Longmire just didn't like him personally or just couldn't see the obvious.
