Som
He's probably a very frustrated young man at the moment who is going through some new life experiences.
Somehow don’t think Blues supporters would give a stuff about his new life experiences. Professional sportsman expected to do a job he is well remunerated for. Get on with it and stop sooking if that’s what the problem is.

He should've gone there 2 years earlier

Which former Swan has polled six votes in the AFL.com Brownlow predictor/
Dawson? Wrong
Cameron? Wrong
Aliir?
Nankervis?
Hewett?
Konstanty?

If you said Luke Parker..... correct team

Dylan Stephens take a bow.

His balls have finally dropped.

I still wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole, but it's nice to see him look like he belongs.

For those being unsympathetic to Wilba for dealing poorly with life at Carlton, I think he deserves more sympathy given that he didn't want to go, had a contract with us, and we pushed him out anyway. Of course it would be much smarter of him to embrace his new reality and get on with it in a positive frame of mind.

I watch him very closely every week.

I dont think - and i mean this in all sincerity as someone who always had a soft spot for him - hes any better than corey and would be that 28th guy at the swans.

his fitness is incredible and he is absolutely coachable - does exactly what your coach would ask and follows the game plan but he remains a little soft, his kicking is either a long bomb or the slightly elevated pass and his tackling is what it is.

I just about fell over when i saw hed got coaches votes so kudos to him but my overall view is that he would have struggled to get a game even now in his current form

Feel for him. All it took was 3 games for him to start looking like a shell of himself. His teammates are giving him absolutely nothing so far, not playing to his strengths in the slightest. Actually looks really odd seeing him doing nothing but mop up ground balls on the wing instead of efficiently utilizing him as a medium forward target.

Yep, happy he's found his home, and also happy that it's not with us.

I 100% agree, however it is tempered a little by the knowledge that he used Carlton to get a better contract with us last time, and was supposedly close to going to them at that time. It's not like he wanted nothing to do with Carlton.

Not saying you're wrong, because you're not BUT (saw that coming I'm sure) Wilbur used an offer from Carlton as leverage in his contract negotiations AND he had the absolute right to say NO (as we believe someone else did) and stick to his contract. He had 100% final say in the outcome.
Realistically, he might have been persona non grata with the club but that certainly doesn't seem to be the case with the other possible refusenik. I also believe (without any concrete evidence) that the club did everything they felt they could to hang on to Wilbur.

I think it's virtually impossible for a player to resist departure if the club really wants them gone - as Collingwood proved with Adam Treloar.

I think we would have preferred to keep Wilba but we were very ready to sacrifice him to get Curnow. Just didn't want to give up 3 first rounders as well.
