Not sure what more Gordon could have done in 6 months to impress, he's been fantastic.
Simpkin is probably the most accomplished of the ones delisted, but you could argue most of his development was fostered at Geelong. Plus I've heard the reasons for his delisting weren't mainly football related so who knows.

Wheres the spot for gordon i guess? Too many similar, needed some cash to pay tippett, cant all come out of COLA i guess :p

swansfan51 once sent me a pm during drafting saying we are looking at a WA player named X who was a certainty.. not only did we not pick that player up as our second rounder, the player didn't get picked for the second round by anyone at all and has still not yet played a senior game for anyone he is a total spud.... just sayin lol
And well said, thank god he's not doing our recruiting

Anyone know what's happened to Daniel Bradshaw? Earlier this year he was back playing and kicking bags of goals, hopefully hasn't been struck down by yet more injuries

The Good
  • Nipper adds another 6 goals to go with his 5 last week. Must be turning heads in some clubs' recruiting departments.
  • Seaby racks up 55 hitouts
  • TDL probably had his best game as a Saint, but bedford would rightly point out that isn't saying much
  • Terlich finding a lot of ball down in defence at Melbourne, not surprising.

The Not So Good
  • McNeil still struggling at SANFL reserves level.

Like a lot of the NEAFL boys Grim O'Dwyer was very poor by foot. He saw a chunk of the ball early but as the players fatigued most of his kicks came back over his head. Really only Stevens and Bennett for the NEAFL looked good enough.

RBN didn't see as much of it but I would say his ball use was much better than O'Dwyer, certainly under pressure.

Sooooo nothing has changed from MOD then

How did you see Thorp's game?

Thorp was very good up forward very clean hands though he missed a sitter. What he had over much of the field though was his time on the AFL list, he had the little tricks of when to put a step on his opponent and get on the lead only for a couple of steps.

Bart McCullough playing ruck and resting forward was very good and while I know it was the lesser state league game but the giants need for a ruck he got to demonstrate it in front of their coaching staff. Brady Jones, the player we spoke to last year was ok but not a stand out.

for the NEAFL Kane Stevens may need to think about moving next year to the VFL/SANFL/WAFL if no one takes, he should be in the AFL system.

Jarred Moore, I weep for thee.

TBH, North should give him a go on their rookie list. They need someone who isn't a complete ****ing idiot on the ground.

Spangher must've played an absolute blinder defensively to win BOG with a 14 possie game.
