Some good signs to take out of tonight even though it was a 10 goal loss against a well seasoned Swans outfit.
Charlie looks exciting and could be the mecurial goal scorer we need. JW will be our back 6 leader and I love the zippyness Boekhurst brings to the table.

Ideally we can hope that Curnow and Mckay replaces Everitt (wont be there when we challenge for finals)
Plowman replaces Rowe
Weitering to slowly take Jamisons role as the leader down back and we continue to develop the likes of SOS and Cunningham. Future looks bright

Charlie definitely surprised me. May not have got a heap of it, and indeed like the NAB games he did start slowly and seem a little unsure of himself, but what can you expect of a kid.

But he did work into it and displayed some very nice skills and kicked a good goal. I know he's never been regarded as elite skilled even at juniors but he definitely seems to have gotten the better skills out of him and Ed.

And as for Weitering... well what needs to be said. Guy is an absolute freak with very few if any actual weaknesses.

Gibbs, Murphy and Kreuze plenty of year left.

Thomas, was pretty good today, one of the few who were. I am not going to lay into him as he hasn't played much football in the last couple of years and will be a bit rusty. At least he has heart. Sorry but I am going to be a bit negative on Doc. I know he is a goer and will bust his gut, but from what I saw his disposal was poor, but again he wasn't the only one in this area. Where was our Captain today?

At the end of our 66 game rebuild Murphy, Gibbs, Kreuzer, Thomas will be around 30. Walker, Simpson, Jamison, Rowe will be gone. Unfortunately we have a lot of talent in the midfield we need to replace and blood in the next 64 games and unless we draft to perfection and hope for some luck with our current young crop I still can't expect finals for another 4 years at least... By then our ability to recruit new members may be shot as everyone wants to jump on the winners bandwagon.

Yes we lost to a seasoned Swans outfit but sorry to say today's performance was poor and I saw very little green shoots.​

I know Doc's kicks can be occasionally dodgy, some of his handballs equally so, but ****ing hell I'm not ashamed to say I love that lad. Gives everything he has, all day long and never stops trying even when he's somehow ending up in ridiculous mismatches on KPPs.

That boy would run in a straight line through multiple brick walls for this club (after taking an intercept mark).

Thomas had 25 touches 12 contested 8 tackles 7 score involvements 4 rebound. 50s 4 inside 50s and an amazing mark against a forward when he was out sized but please tell me more about how he shouldn't get a game
