The Future Kids of Richmond and Coburg side.

I was wondering players like Putt and Vickery and Post are the future of the Richmond Football club perhaps. Then surely why on earth would they not be playing for the Coburg Seniors week in and week out. Playing them in the Coburg Reserves in my mind is a waste of time. How can they get better unless we play them at the top level in the VFL getting them ready for the AFL. That leads me to say players like Oakley Nichols, Schultz, and even King if they are not the future they would be the ones that should play for Coburg reserves. Keep the seniors to players that are good and that will be apart of our future in the years to come.

Agree, why are we playing any players in the reserves?? To give them confidence playing against hacks? So they can put a band-aid on their fragile minds?

JON should be in our senior line up he has been playing ewell at the coburg so why doent he get a go.RW has gave Jordy and iIng a go time after time how about this kid.Play him in the side and give him the cofidence and the believe and leave him in there just like Polo I think JON at another club would be a different player it seems to me that we struggle in this area bigtime to develop guys.I remember TW praising Graham at the start of the season saying he is a important player and will have a breakout season this year and what does he do he doesnt play him ,that would have killed his cofidence but Graham is now improving week by week.

True and yes i know there is a limit to what we can do with Coburg. However my point can still be done. The players that we know that have a long term future should be in the seniors not hidden away in there reserves.

Fantastic POST. I have been saying this for a while but continue to get the same reply.
We all know the rule regarding how many listed players can play in the seniors BUT Vickery Post Putt should be playing Coburg seniors before Shultz King JOn Polak and Petrified etc.

I am over seeing players who are the future of this club wasted in Coburg reserves and pick up bad habbits. Players who have been on the list or system for 6 or so years and are clearly not upto AFL seniors and most likely not be on our list next year but continue to play Coburg seniors.

Greame Polak & Kayne Petrified Pettirfer should not ever play COburg seniors.
They will not be on the list next year therefore why should they be stalling the progress of our young players.
In the VFL practice match Jayden Post had a really good game and Jade Rawling rapt him up but the following week he was in the coburg two's.

No wonder why our kids dont develope.

coburg are also there to win games and they will want the best team to do so. but i like the idea of playing the younger guys ahead of the older fringe players.
