who (apart from his opponents) doesnt wanna see this guy succeed?
his celebrations genuinely made me smile
hes different, hes obviously passionate
i hope he does well

I love his passion and he's so unique, I'm on the bandwagon, just a bit upset that it was against Marcos he turned it on against, damn draw! But this guy is amazing.

His ankles are the only thing that will stop this kid going a long, long way in the sport. Supreme talent.

He's going to be a great player... his amazing speed around the court is unheard of. One of the best actors on tour as well it seems.:D He really got the crowd on his side early... his celebrations were pretty funny.

Noticed him in last years' French Open and have been a fan since. He's awesome! He didn't just outplay Baghdatis, he out-entertained him. - That's no small feat.

My God though, does he have to chase down everything?!

I thought of that last night, i went to bed early (yes lame i know, but having no sleep in recent days due to the weather i was buggered) but couldn't get to sleep, so i switched the tv on and saw him hobbling around and thought that was what was going to happen. His enthusiasm is great to see.

How great was the ace he served as his second serve, in the first set (where Marcos challenged it). Bloody ripper.

That was some truly cracking tennis from Monfils last night. Loved every minute of that match. The boy has a tremendous future ahead of him.

Still only 20 but has had a fair history of injuries unfortunately. He was awesome, unfortunately it was against Marcos but still a brilliant performance. Early on you could tell he was going to win - Marcos looked very flat and Monfils dropped the 3rd set effectively due to his ankle worries (either that or he was a good actor).

He plays some rash shots and there were a couple that went quite wayward  But he's great to watch

Those two consecutive shots down the line at full stretch in the 1st set were amazing as well.

Wouldn't $2.95 be good value for him to beat Gasquet?
