So with Lyon saying that he won't bring the St Kilda drone football with him, what are people's thoughts on the game style he'll implement.

I reckon he's going to make a massive play at Jones and Clarke. Jones becomes our inside midfielder/tagger rotating with de boer and Ballantyne across a forward pocket and flank.... Other mids will be Mundy Barlow and Morabito. Half back flank build up ala Yarran goes to Hill. Sandilands in the ruck. Defenders are set with Grover, mcpharlin silvagni. Forward structure looks more settled with Pavlich, Clarke, Mayne and Walters/Ballantyne and a lazy bench with the like of Broughton, Clark and fyfe.

Obviously a few extra gaps in there, but the game plan is hard inside midfields, classy outside "running backs" overlapping to high half forwards, and tall deep players, crummers underneath.

Gawd it's gonna be a long off season.

What are the possibilities of having a spine of ruckman with Clarke and Clark providing the press in the back and forward lines respectively and with Sandi just dominating in the middle and where it's needed?

Yep he sure did Nicko. I cant remember which interview, but i remember him saying that it was built for St Kilda specifically.

Someone here in Melbourne mentioned that Ross had built a game style around a lack of speedy players, an abundance of solid midfielders and classy users of the footy culminating in slow and steady drone football.

With Freo he said they have natural talent and quick flanks. Fyfe, Broughton, Mzungu, Clark and Hill come to mind in what Ross was thinking.
