I dont know about America but charities here only sees about 20% of your donation go to the cause. Some are even under 12%

I doubt people would donate at all if they knew that most of their money was just paying some idiots salary or a tv ad, instead of going to the kid they thought it was...

Regardless, Conor is a POS for going back on his word

When you drop coins in a tin most people do so without giving it a second thought.

When you're about to donate 500K to a charity/foundation....it's fair enough you wanna know where exactly that money goes towards before committing.

Tall poppy syndrome is rife in this place.

He agreed to it. Do your due diligence first if you don't trust where it's going not after

Also if you want to control what a charity does with the money, start your own charity. He agreed to donate to Dustins charity, which is a good cause and even previous fighters have donated with no issue

Terrible opinion

When you are genuine in your offer to donate to a charity organisation and you have concerns about where your funding will be allocated, you are generally forthright in asking those questions and keep communication channels open, what you don't do is shutdown all lines of communication and ghost the organisation completely after exchanging banking account information.

You're right...he agreed to do it.

So what would he have to gain by not committing to his pledge other than receiving bad press and criticism?

McGregor's generosity is for all to see....sick kids needing surgery, helping Ireland with medical supplies last year for Covid, Whisky Brand donating a portion of it's profits to 1st responders organisations.

and rarely gets credit for it.

But losers will come out of the woodwork to condemn him over a he said, they said argument on twitter.

" "I am also really excited about aiding Dustin's charity "The Good Fight Foundation", which through the donation, will build a gym/premise for disadvantaged youth in his childhood hometown. "

Sounds like he knows where the money is going to and this was before the fight? Also 500k to Conor is about 300 bucks to a guy worth a million dollars. Stop defending shitty behaviour. He's a dog. He's more then happy to sell the fight saying he's a wonderful man and will donate to Dustins Charity, but has ghosted him afterwards.

No it sounds like he he wants good intentions for the money and wants a plan in place to see that the funds are used in that good faith. Which is in line with all his donations.

If that's unreasonable for people or hard to comprehend then I don't know what else to say.

Why did they stop emailing the charity then?

Not in the weird ass way you're defending him, him and his management havent responded to Dustin since the fight, 3 months ago. Dustin politely reminds him and then he comes out with some shitty excuse about needing to know where the money goes before going on a coke rant about how the fight is cancelled out of sheer pettiness. He's an absolute ******* of a bloke.

You really think McGregor is going through the expense list of the charity? Haha he's got expensive accountants and lawyers who would do that but it seems he's being a s**t campaigner for getting his head punched in
