Probably cooler where you are...

My car yesterday was 50.5 degrees C...:drunk::'(

middle of Hollywood.

Horrendous.

Go Catters

Without saying the club was wrong -
I have been interested to see Mitch Brown do pretty well at the Dons. Sure, he is probably borderline 22 with those returning in 2017, but couldn't do much more, particualry in a side getting smashed each week.

Almost same can be said for Walker and Jansen at the Lions. Four goals for Walker and resonable possessions for Jansen in a side that was smashed.

Think the club was right to move these guys on but glad they are having some reasonable games at other clubs.

Cant really say im to fussed as of now to see any of these blokes at other clubs. I never enjoyed brown but good luck to him.

We all had high hopes for Jansen but so far he hasnt really delivered on reasonable expectations even at Brisbane. I loved Walker thought he played for the jumper and was unfairly criticised on the board. Really hope he makes something of himself though, his grandad was a gun by all reports.

I didn't have high hopes for Jansen per se, I never saw enough of him to form an opinion. Although some posters may possess the magical ability to know with certainty who will and won't make it, I'm afraid I don't. He seems to be making good initial strides at Brisbane. Walker has had quiet games but seems to have been ok for them. I've always rated Brown's ability so I'm not really surprised at how he's gone. All three seem to be travelling fairly well at the moment anyway.

Agree with all of that....and I doubt any of those three would have got a decent run at Geelong in 2016 given the list we have right now. There were just too many in front of them.

All three are better off where they are.

At one point I thought it was a good idea to seek Zac Clarke. Thank the Lord I'm not in charge. I definitely got that one wrong.

Is Walker injured? He hasn't played a game for Brisbane for a while.

I don't think so, he just isn't very good.
And the lions have worked out there is more benefit just playing the kids who are going to be good players in the future

Said it in the after game thread but thought I should pop it in here too as I've been a massive bagger of Bews.

Not prepared to change my overall opinion but I saw something tonight. His VFL form has slowly been better and he was good tonight. Credit to him.

Totally agree. Did well on Betts but I found a few of his explosive runs of half back even more impressive and something we need. He'd previously looked indecisive but it's like he was told just to take the game on and not worry if you stuff up. Look forward to seeing more of it.

Yeah that's what I liked the most. I've seen him break past one tackle before but then it usually falls apart, either his disposal or indecision, last night it was actually exciting.

Would not have played an AFL game for us this year had he still been on the list.

Good luck to him but zero loss to us.

That was impressive - Geelong have got a bit of a selection headache - because theres probably only one spot up for grabs between Ruggles and Bews

I heard Luke McPharlin during the week -after the Freo game and he said - i like Ruggles - i like him alot ( and Ruggles did play very well against Freo - probably his best game to date )

However last night i thought Ruggles was pretty ordinary - and one advantage Bews has on him - is he does him for pace
