The second movie is a lot better than the first. Everything Australian is no doubt overblown, but there seems to be a weird fetishist resurgence in Australia abroad – even in True Detective there was that Aussie character that seemed unnecessary. I think if you realise it's hyperbolic and for a certain audience, then sure, take it up and accept it. It's not the worst representation, either.

Yeah, generally heaps better but still far from a great movie or high brow comedy or anything. It just reminds me of being in high school and watching this show when the second series started. I never imagined it'd become as huge as it is. I think some people overlook what it's trying to say, or maybe I'm extrapolating something else from it... I don't know... it just reminds me of not an awesome time, but definitely an interesting and necessary time.

Loved the little social criticism in there too with the "bants" and "banter!" shit Jay and Neil went on with.

Just recently got onto this series while scrolling through netflix the other day, it's pretty hilarious as most people have already pointed out but definitely takes me back to high school days in some ways, with all the banter and completely over obsessing about girls, just trying to hook up.

One of those shows that whenever I flick through the channels and see it's on I will watch the whole thing every time, regardless of how many times I've seen the episode. It's pretty much a masterpiece of school tv. Believable characters, hilarious jokes, nothing ever feels forced or too unrealistic, laugh out loud moments in every episode. And best of all, absolute quality from S1 to S3.

'the guy who gets all the roots' (Jay) just about makes the show. He is extremely humorous. Even though you sorta feel sorry for him every time his old man has a crack at him lol.

I also like when Will shoots down Jay's sex-brags with sarcastic, caustic comebacks.

For me it was like Simon went to college ( Fresh meat) then end up as a car salesman ( White gold).

Both hilarious shows! The humor is Fresh meat had me in stitches and really wished it went on for another season.
