Have they actually changed anything to the design, it's literally a 1 to 1 copy?
Even the lighter blue pin stripe on the cuff are the same.
The collar is slightly different due to the NB/puma templates

(And the the sponsors of course).
Seems to be a fully faithful reproduction with current sponsors.

It's probably also due to the vast increase in camera quality but the colours seem a lot more vibrant as well.

The fact they even bothered to include the sublimated AFL logos show they went the extra mile with the faithful reproduction of the OG.

Conspiracy time: I also maintain the ochre would have lasted longer had it had a plain navy back. Part of me thinks it was always the original plan to flick off the tripanel and have the ochre as the main jumper going forward considering the amount of ochre training gear, the ochre logo etc. But the hate for this thing initially must have scattered those plans.

Is this the first time navy shorts will be worn with the ochre?

This is prime example of it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Now 40 years on the clubs best colours and jumpers were the ones worn in the late 80’s to mid 90’s.

I want to know who is buying this shit so I can either rant at old stupid boomers or young stupid skibidi toilets. I don't want my disgust to be misdirected at the wrong demographics.

It's probably my own dumb generation. Ugh.

This is ****ing horrific.

The same sick bastards splurging on this abortion will be pining for Birds of Tokyo and bouncy castle tunnel in 10 years time. Uppercut yourselves.
Inflated Eagle tunnel was the GOAT, non ironically. Should run through that into a banner, beat of both worlds.

It looks like it was saved as a jpeg from Shutterstock without paying for the licence.

Round 12 2000 it was worth at home v Carlton

I don’t think abortion means what you think it does.
Coat hangers don’t go well with bouncy castles either.

Wonder whether Frasier Gehrig would have stayed if he knew that the Ochre was only going to last a couple of seasons.

Oh. And SOS acting like a complete dickhead within 10 seconds of the video. Completely out of character and completely surprising.

The gradients on the back look to be a little different - the way the colours blend into each other looks a lot cleaner with less overlap on the NB, and the ratios may be different (more light blue on the NB whereas on the Puma they were all split equally) but will need to see a proper look at the back of a player-issue to make sure.

Haven't copped any club merch for years because the club stuffed me around on some post 2018 gear but I'm seriously tempted by this.

My only regret is not grabbing the keyring too. I bought the navy wings jacket a couple years back though, which is very sick.

Decided to buy one because it's become such folklore now. I suspect it'll be a case of "never meet your heroes" when it turns up though, and I'll wonder why I bought another piece of clothing I'll rarely wear.

The AFL watermarks are tacky AF but it'll be cool to see the kids running around in it. As forgettable as that period was, to me, ochre is a symbol of transition from our 92/94 flags to our 2006 flag.
Thought I'd seen them before.
I still have this...
Whatever BGC was.. I've worn this to the odd game.. Can't even remember how old it is.
But those watermarks show up nicely with camera flash. Probably no better than the Ochre.

You weren’t wearing it in the Riverview room on Sunday were you? Noticed someone wearing one before the game couldn’t believe my eyes hadn’t seen one of them in ages.

whats the sizing like on the new balance guernseys btw? for a 88kg, 6'2", 106cm chest. I am torn between XL and 2XL. I have some of the old puma guernseys in XL but I am thinking about a 2XL long sleeve here.

Better to go bigger and have it be baggy than to small

just when things were looking up along comes ochre. Can’t help but think Ken Judge era. Evokes Telstra sunset vibes.

My first ever Eagles game in person (SCG) was ochre. Remember being like who dis? Where’s my blue & gold!
