Because bomber supporters called swans fans sooks following the non-out-of bounds call yet were up an arms earlier this year.

If any of them blame the umpires for todays loss it just shows that they are a bunch of hypocrites.

Same goes for bomber fans earlier this year. That's my point.

At the end of the day, umpiring was terrible and it's a blight on our game.

Yet ANOTHER game where I sit back and think that if the umps do what they're SUPPOSED to do, ie. shut up, be inconspicuous and pay the obvious frees that are there and that's IT (as opposed to being prima donnas, thinking they're the stars of the show and imposing their will on just about every possible contest), Sydney win by 3-4 goals. They have absolutely no concept of letting the game be played on its merits, for some reason they fell the need to influence the result to a ridiculous extent. They are a joke and a disgrace but nothing will ever be done.

Technically Grundy did throw it but in wet conditions you see umpires let that sort of thing go all the time. For an umpire 100m away to pick that out in front of goal at that stage of the game was crazy.

just saw the replay of the Goodes goal in the last quarter, when the ball was up for grabs and he was running back towards goal with Grover holding his left arm. Goodes still managed to shrug off Grover and get the ball and kick the goal, at the end of the replay you can see the umpire there was Ray and there is a look of disappoinment on his face as he signals all clear.

38 points up at Three Quarter Time and clearly the superior side for 90% of the afternoon. The best team definitely won, which is always pleasing no matter what the thoughts are on the umpiring.

yay freo matched sydney in the first half, smashed them in the 3rd on their home turf, but a spirited comeback wasnt enough, they only needed to kick a goal to hold them off. Obviously the 38pt lead gave freo breathing space, they knew they had time on their side and a goal or 2 would do it. They gotta go pack for the flight home now, thanks for the drive down to the SCG.

This problem should reach further than club alleigances. For a second, forget what team you support, and what's happened earlier in the season, and just look at what happened in this game. Something has to be done.

THIS. It shouldn't matter who you support, what happened today, regardless of what team it happened to was beyond a joke. The throw was there (as they often ejudicate a tap as a throw whilst being tackled i.e. illegal disposal) but you'd have to be blind by saying the umpiring had no effect on the game. Sydney copped it and copped it bad. This should not be happening in our game to any team, regardless of your feelings for them. If teams were reversed i'd be saying the same thing. What happened today was bad for the game, and as someone said previously, the fact that Ray has the "Razor" nickname is a problem.
