Toast The Last Quarter

I am so proud of the boys tonight for fighting back in the last, even with the constant deplorable umpiring and being one down on the bench. This loss will help us to fire up for next week and hopefully we will play them again and reverse the result. It was only a couple of mistakes by Eddie in ther last 3 minutes that cost us

If our last quarter was worth being toasted, we would have won.

We were within 2 goals with more than 2/3rds the quarter to play out, and lost the game.

Not sure how you could find a 'toast' in that.

Don't get me wrong, our last qtr was excellent, but why only turn up for one qtr? yes we were good in the first 10mins of the 1st qtr, but lost our way badly after that, there is so much potential in this group but we need to really show some consistency over 4 qtrs, disappointing

Don't underestimate the loss of Carrazzo halfway through the first quarter. He would've had the job on Hill who killed us.

Yes there were some costly mistakes made at crucial times, however, playing a man down puts a real spanner in the works.

I am very proud our boys fought it out because it would've been just as easy for them to drop their heads when they were 27 points down early in the final quarter.

Take the good with the bad and we showed that we have the capacity to run out games and score quickly.

Really great that the boys fought it out right to the end. After the game, I thought that had the game gone for a couple more minutes, we probably would have gotten the Dockers. They stopped to a walk in that last quarter.

It was good to see the boys have a red hot go last night. We could have won the game despite the sh!t umpiring.

What cost us was the poor kicking inside fifty. We need to work on this if we are going to win a few finals this year.

Why are we congratulating them on the last quarter? what a waste. Freo should have been 500 points up at 3quarter. We would have stolen the game if we had won it.

It was an awesome quarter of footy. What I found interesting was just how much faster we were than Freo. Whenever their smalls got the ball, we'd run them down with ease and create a turnover. Freo were saved by the clock utlimately. When we hit top gear, no one can stop us. It was good to see a glimpse of this form return at the business end of the year. A VERY good sign actually. If we can somehow scrap through week 1 of finals, anything could happen. We're all X-factor.

Funny thing was at the end of the 3rd qtr so many of our players were dead on their legs not chasing at all and I include Judd Robbo Murph etc.
