He shouldn’t go back. Going to Scotland is admitting defeat - he won’t get another good job by going back to Celtic.

I’ve said it for ages, he needs to head to continental europe. Germany for mine, but he won’t get a top side, maybe a mid tier Bundesliga side.

He’s 60! If he goes back to Scotland that would probably see him out anyway. Most likely done in England and I doubt he gets a job in Germany or Italy or even France.

Rodgers realised there wasn’t a Man U or Chelsea to gift a European spot to so he noped out.

Dunno where the 50% chance for Celtic comes from. They have 55 titles, all the other sides in this years Scottish premiership have 17 combined.

My guess is he'd go to somewhere like Greece next or further East to manage that little bit closer to home. I know he has two young boys to take into account with their schooling and settling in a new home (again) There's worse coaches than Ange who get job offers after getting the boot, but I think what kills him getting a job is that bedding in period he has when he first comes in, & don't see him changing that.

Would be good if he stayed away from a job for now and came in at the start of next season so he has a bit of time to do his thing and get players onboard with the way he likes to play.

Talk of Kieran McKenna being tapped up by Celtic. I'd imagine he is a Celtic fan or they are his second team, he'd have an idea of what he'd be getting himself in for going there and I'd like to see it. My only fear is, like with Eddie Howe, he'd want to bring his own staff and want guarantees on doing transfer business. Ange also linked according to Sky Sports, but what would be the point of him going back from his perspective.

Yeah, wherever he goes next it needs to be at the start of preseason so he has time with the players. He's not the manager to parachute in during the year which is one reason(among many) the forest job was never going to work.

Big time. Even at Celtic fans started to get restless with him before Angeball was unleashed. I know folk spit on the quality of Scottish football, but he had us playing good stuff in Europe & most importantly he is just a classy bloke who gets it. No airs or graces about him.
