Must be embarrassing if you can only scrape a last minute draw against our current crop of shit kickers. Coach killer
Huh?

I'm surprised Edwards would do this really.

I find it a bit pissweak of Edwards regardless if it’s his ‘dream job’

Oversaw a Luton double relegation in particular poor Champ season. Boro give him a go, back him and sitting second. Yet a few short months later wants to go to Wolves who are odds on to be relegated! Now Boro have to reset a third of the way in promotion chasing season. Pissweak

Yeah his credibility is a bit shot at this point.

The job at Wolves seems like a hiding to nothing in any case.

He didn't oversee a double relegation, he was sacked in Feb.

They were bottom three at the time ..well on the way
Given the results he's shown at boro and what Luton did afterwards I'm not sure that's a huge reflection on him.

They ended up going down on GD not sure you can say anything was definitive when he left.

Sacked early Jan when they were 25 points from 26 games.

They then got 24 points from 20 games to miss out on gd. May have stayed up if they sacked him earlier.

As a Boro fan, this is a very weird one. I'm not all that upset about it as I didn't get a chance to start to like or loathe the bloke :) but after getting the gig and constantly spruiking the we are all a family and in this for the long haul line, it's strange to jump ship so quickly...the Wolves is a dream job narrative doesn't really sit well as he wasn't exactly a club stalwart...100 games over 4 years doesn't shout club legend/stalwart to me...anyway, it's happened and we move on...no real idea who we turn to next...maybe Mowbray for the short term unless Gibson has his eyes on a bigger fish...

He's coached at Wolves a few years too so must feel he's got strong ties with them. But I agree, it's a weird decision - leading Middlesbrough to the Premier League would have really enhanced his reputation. Whereas if he can't save Wolves that's two (and a half) relegations on his cv.

I read today Edwards' family lives 30 mins away from Wolves, so that's probably a major reason why, but yeah seems a strange one still.

Can't remember a time where there was so many Championship jobs available after a dozen or so games to begin the season really.

Last season? :p

Same number of changes - 5 - at this stage last season.
