I don't visit this thread very often coz it just confirms my suspicions and gets me down but maybe think of it this way.
Gary Lyon and Roo are peas in a pod gifted a media profile neither has earnt or deserved.
Throw in the likes of Adelaide's crow ambassadors behind mics or in front of cameras and there is a commonality to them all.
Self opinionated jaundiced and bitter that their crows have to share a town.
If we get up their noses we are obviously doing a lot right. Engaging the younger generation is our biggest threat to them.
Add to this our noise level/passion and you know that we are pressing their buttons.
When I'm on our marches,clad in our(beautiful)colours and yelling powwwaa I often inwardly smile coz doing so gives them the s**ts

Think we can handle 1 Thursday night a year. Friday nights are pretty much stitched up by the Vic clubs. From an exposure point of view what we have this year is pretty good for an "interstate" team. Home and Away Thursday and Friday night stand alone nationally broadcast games, plus a fair few Saturday nights. It's been a pretty good draw commercially for us.

the tripping instances in the carlton game - i felt when krakouer was trying to get to armstrong and tripped him, that was just out of desperation, lunging at full capacity, just trying to get the guy - happened to hit his foot. but when the carlton guy tripped pittard in the middle of the ground, i didn't feel the same way, i looked at it like the gibbs tackle, malicious, intentional, dirty, unsportsmanlike. is there bias creeping in here? or is it just simply that carlton are a stinkhole of a club, dirty to the core, and that reflects in the players?

It's when we had them that shitted me. If the club is putting their hand up, then say only the ones before a Monday public holiday or when it's school holidays the Monday. Doesn't the start of the ad -when aired on 7- have a "Proudly sponsored by 7" message in the corner?
They probably get show the advert at a discounted price or something.
