I sent a link of Cornesys article yesterday to Caroline Wilson and asked if she would make a point of discussing it on her segment on their show on Wednesday. She will rape him over the 100% blame Tippett comment

Jars called for Trigg's resignation on the MMM on Friday, which took me by complete surprise. Seconds after making that statement kg calls in, and starts defending Trigg's honour; reid's as well. He was getting emotional because Jars wasn't backing down, and at one point I thought kg was going to start crying.

At least not all parts of the media are blindly defending Trigg.

The SA media will continue to show who is in the Adelaide boys club. Lets just summarise how bad this fraud is and it is fraud

- let's start with 3 years of lies
- no board governance, surely their is a remuneration committee to sign off deals
- if there is a rem committee then complete fraud by Trigg and Reid in completing a deal with no governance sign off
- break of AFL draft rules
- breach of TPP with non inclusion of extra pay
- breach of 3rd party payment rules

Any defence of the Crows is showing a complete and utter contempt of the law

This should have penalties of major significance for at least 3 years of draft choices and the roles of Trigg, Reid etc are untenable. If their is no remuneration committee then their board must go as they don't understand the legal liability of directors

Cornes will never chat face to face with you because it would put you both on an equal footing. No dump button in coffee shops. No chance of him getting in the last word.

McDimwitt in today's Sunday Mail writes that what Trigg did was "dumb" and you can't be sacked for being dumb. If being dumb results in a CEO being involved in or sanctioning acts that break the rules of the AFL then that person can and should be sacked. They are not being sacked for being dumb. You can't claim that Trigg was dumb. A dumb person would have put those "go home" clauses in Tippett's contract, not in a side deal designed to avoid detection.

Trigg wasn't dumb, he was deceptive. He thought he could get away with it (hoping that the club could convince Tippett to stay), and only came clean when he realised the cat was out of the bag.

I wouldnt sack Trigg because he made mistakes or cheated. Id sack Trigg for poor performance. He's cost his club a couple of first round draft picks and really put the camrys back a couple of years. Stopped them from becoming a better team. Thanks Triggy

This is why it is so pathetic that the Cows are defending Trigg by saying that it was he who brought this issue to the AFL's attention.

He'd known about it from the start and only a couple of weeks ago was denying that any such deal existed but when he got back from his European Vacation and found out that Gold Coast and possibly others had obtained copies of the "secret" deal and that the AFL already were set to pounce he officially made the AFL aware of it in an attempt to mitigate the damage. Just as wanted criminals may get a more lenient sentence if they hand themselves in to the police.
