Finding it pretty difficult to be positive about our situation!

Our backline is set .Hamling, Pearce, Ryan, Wilson.

Fyfe, Neale, Hill, Hill, Bradshaw, Cera and Walters is a great midfield .

I feel Taberner, Dixon and McCarthy are a decent combo in the forward line.

We have players like Logue, Langdon , Blakeley Bennell, Darcy to fit in amongst them.

That is 18 very good players. If we can add some class to our forward line and improve our depth we will play finals.

Do you personally see it with the current coaching staff?

While Ross puts it in the absolutely irrelevant basket.
I slipped into something incandescent at the time.
That is what coaches tend to do ,Or Ross does he will not look at isolated incidents and focus on them or make excuses that that was the turning point , Or even if we only lost by two points that it cost us the game. It has never been his style and never will be.

Pleasing to see the On The Couch crew unanimously cane the non free for Hamling when we were only 4 points down.

Went as far to say that the umpire who made that “error” (inverted commas used advisedly) should be omitted this week.
That incident for me broke the dam wall. The momentum shifted after that non-call. In a game where the umpires blew the whistle at what felt like every single contest in the entire game... To let that go?? :drunk:

Indeed, it was a hideously over-umpired game. It pisses me off, even when the frees go our way. Just let them bloody play the game.

You'd hate to lose a grand final to a non-decision so glaringly obvious but in the context of a season when we're trying to pump games into kids it's just a distraction.

I had to laugh when Brereton said during the telecast that he "was leaning towards it being a free kick". FMD it's a free kick in any grade of footy all day long and the only three people at the ground who didn't see it were the umps.

The controlling umpire was between me and the ball at that time. He definitely saw it, but gave a kind of shrug as he waved his arms for play on. He basically bottled it in my opinion.

And I would add that it is an opportunity for the coach and club to look at what happened after, and to learn from it. The players efforts dropped away.

Hey all
Not a Freo topic but...
I wrote a song called “ holding the ball”
91.3 sport fm are giving it a run tommorow morning 6:30 am
Have a listen and See what you think
Not sure if anyone on here heard it they ended up playing it at 9:00 as well
Kim Hughes paid out on me , almost to the point where I was tempted to call up and remind him of the 1984 test series ( I was at the WACA Kim )
Anyway if you heard it what did you think?
If you didn’t, call em up and request it

I weakened and had a listen.
2 things stood out:
Slobbo should be drug tested and breathalysed hourly.

Rosich described his journalistic style perfectly as "...1+1=7".
