Didn't watch the game but Huddo is far and away the best commentator on TV and it is not even close.

Dunstall is a pain in the backside too. Spends so much time dribbling about umpiring etc. Nick Dal Santo goes ok.

Every time Essendon did something he burst into a high pitched description of how wonderful Essendon players are. When it was the dockers did something he was low key even dismissive of our efforts.
We were the travelling team .....You think he would be trying to broadcast for our market.

I am beginning to hate the favouritism to everything Victorian by tv stations radio and the AFL itself. After 50 years as a football followers I am beginning to dislike our games direction

Huddo is a legend. His call of our win against the Hawks in 2001 was awesome. He is as unbiased as anyone, a Geeong fan who had to commentate the Nick Davis 4 final qtr goals in 05 semi final and it was one of the greatest calls of all time.

God we have some serious sensitive souls on this board. The cliche when we lose is to hit up the umps or the commentators every time.

Imo the only terrible (biased) commentary we’ve endured over the years has been Eddie against Richmond (2015 & 2017) and Geelong (2015) plus Stk (2014 with Sandy Roberts). That I can remember anyway.

I was listening to SportsFM in the car just a while back and some host comes on and starts shouting about how hard done by the Eagles were against Collingwood with free kicks and a few other things. It wasn't so much the content but his irritating shouting that made me switch off. Why is 90% of footy talk on radio/tv less enjoyable than going to the opera?

If that's the show in the afternoon, those two hosts of the Sportsdrive program double up as hosts for the WC Show (the WC equivalent of Talking Dockers).

Yeah i didn't think the commentary was that bad i have heard a lot worse.

I certainly don't remember them stuffing up someone's name which happens most weeks. Cause most of Victoria media wouldn't know half of our kids

At this stage, I don't think there's any conversation that Hadgorn couldn't relate back to Freo's culture. The chip is a chasm now.
